Damn andyman, that's great consumption for your vz, and a wags too... So fuel consumption doesn't differ too much - awesome I agree on the VZ looking better IMO, i prefer it over the VY in stock base model form anyhow. I think I'm pretty set on the VZ. just have to find a good deal now...

yeah they should, within reason, and thats one good thing the qld gov't is doing. have a look at the attachment for the changes, theres different rules for different age groups.

the general rule of thumb i use is about 25,000km a year. obviously this is an average, but you can get an idea of whether the car's km's are above or below 'average'.

try to check to see if fuels getting to the engine, check the injectors and spark plugs, any other basic things you can think of to eliminate. hopefully it won't be a major problem.

have you checked the basics (eg. battery, etc)? does it try to turn over or nothing happens when you try to start?

$11,000 for a VT2 is very good, especially for a trade-in! I'm guessing the Ghia is a BA?, which is a nice car for a Ford. If you like the car and there's nothing wrong with it, by all means go for it.

I used to get zaps a fair bit, i find that when you put your feet on the ground next to the car to get out, hold a part of the car until you get out. This was probably why my old man didn't get shocks when he was in the car with me, as he leaned on the door to get up.

Personally, I'd go 2x 512mb's. From my experience, running the RAM sticks in pairs would give slightly better performance, although it wont be a huge difference. That said, there's nothing wrong with having the single 1GB.

Does your car have side airbags, something may have come apart during the install. I'd definitely get it checked at a dealer, best to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like an ex taxi.. you never know though, still could be fine - i've seen a vt ex-taxi with 650,000 klms, still running apparently.
