    Plywood Plenum Spacer

A lot of bullshit being spoken in here. I made one out of 19mm marine ply in 2004, was on the car for over 12 months with no issues whatsoever. What I did different was give it a light smear of silicone and let it cure before I installed it. No vacuum leaks, no weeping, no distortion. Ply has...

    My Cheap affective exhaust idea

I think you're the one taking it 'to seriously ay' Since the second V6 powered car came out there has been someone on a budget doing things like this. It seriously turns your car into a ninja though, it blends in with the other 32 thousand V6's with the 'back muffler mod'

Are nitrous systems legal in QLD?

Believe me, I am. I have a kit there ready to go on, but my law abiding side is holding me back. I can understand where you're coming from.

Are nitrous systems legal in QLD?

Because the law makes COMPLETE SENSE. Some people are happy to shut their eyes and follow the book to the 'T', but show me the real world differences between a big turbo setup and a nitrous setup. If anything, the nitrous is SAFER as most kits only activate at WOT.

Are nitrous systems legal in QLD?

Whats the difference (road safety wise) between a moderate hit of gas and the light-switch-like power delivery of some turbo cars? As Jakstas said, I can't believe it isn't legal, I'd even be happy if they made me pass an inspection like they do with LPG systems... Other than that, I see no...

Are nitrous systems legal in QLD?

In QLD it is illegal to have ANY component of a nitrous system fitted to your regoed car. Obviously for this reason, insurance will skip off into the sunset, making confetti out of your policy papers should they find out. The OP is a bit weird. I havent heard anyone say that the 200 dry shot...

    Custom Made Electric Supercharger

In this instance, the turbo or supercharger is mechanically creating flow. If you took the engine away, would there be any 'boost' pressure? This is what I was getting at. In an N/A engine, I agree with you, when the intake valve opens and the piston is travelling downwards in the bore, this...

    Custom Made Electric Supercharger

A lot of talk about pressure, not much about flow or delivery volume. Pressure is the result of restriction to flow, just so you guys know. A supercharger or turbo that can flow more atmosphere than the engine can consume is making 'boost'

Dyno tuned my ls1 stock, stock box

Very sceptical of that power figure. Even if the kit added a true 175hp at the tyres, thats still 303rwhp, out of a stock LS1? Doubtful. Nice power though regardless, 175 is a decent hit either way.

Heel-Toe vs Rev Matching On Downshift

Pedal position is **** for one. Two, I hear a LOT of people trying to rev match, only to fail as they don't release the clutch until the engine has slowed back to near idle speeds anyway. Brake pads are a lot cheaper and easier to replace.
