hey mate the car already has a built trans,twin 2 inch exhaust,pacemaker extractors,also have a mate porting the heads/bead blasting the inlet manifold aswell.The only problem is that i don't have the cam to give you the specs off.

Hey guys and girls as the title states i am wondering if there is a possibility to convert my vr acclaim rear end to a vs ss rear end,as in change the rear trailing arms and use the rear brakes from a vs ss,wondering if they would be stronger than the v6 rear end???

They diagnosed why the car wasnt running properly, scanned the ecu and cleared all codes, checked all exhaust clamps/header bolts,checked the operation of the iac valve,smoke tested the inlet manifold for vac leaks,removed the throttle body reset the iac valve and checked the throttle position...

hey guys and girls have got a niggling issue with my vr calais s2....the accelerator pedal sticks ever so slightly,so when i am approaching a set of lights i have to tap the bottom to let the revs drop back to normal...just replaced the tps,,would that have anything to do with said...

well in saying that,my vr Calais s2 has got Lucas pads on the front,braided front lines,slotted and dimpled front rotors,new rotors and Bendix pads on the rear,and the brakes are unbelievable,so depends on what you wanna do to your car.

could also be your ignition switch behind the ignition barrel my vr would stall wile in gear sometimes and replaced it my self and have had no issues since i did.

mate id take it to a trans place and get it sorted,i had to get my trans rebuilt after the previous owner let the trans run dry,so just to be safe i would get it sussed out.

yep ignition barrel,had the same thing happen to my Calais,in the morning fine went to start it after a while,no go i called a mobile locksmith,he came out took him all of 20 mins,$200 bucks later new barrel coded to my key head.

mate id go to an exhaust shop and tell them exactly what your after,be the best way to go about it.

Calais tail lights all the way...both my vr's have them makes them look 100 times better

could just go the statesman inner chrome handles...would look a million times better and last a lot longer...

i personally use penrite hpr-30 20w/60 in both my vr's,very happy indeed.

try disconnecting the batterie for a while so this re sets the cars ecu,hopefully this resolves ur issue.

the car that's getting the swap is my vr s2 acclaim,so what you are saying i can use the ecu that i got with the motor.but the problem is i didn't get a bcm when i purchased the motor,the guy kept it when he did the engine swap,that's why i got motor/trans/loom/computer...but no bcm or key...

hey folks im in a bit of a pickle...i bought myself a l67 motor/trans/loom/ecu few other parts for a real good price but i didn't get the bcm or key head with it as the guy i bought it from was selling it for a mate,now problem is i cant get a hold of him to get the Vin no that Holden spare...

mate id replace the tensioner and pulley,rather be safe than sorry,had the same issue with my vr found out it was cheaper to replace the lot wile i was sorting out some issues from the previous owner not maintaining the vehicle.but hey up to you

as wraith said stick with the factory trans cooler...my acclaim has a heavy duty shift kitted trans and the trans shop by-passed the radiator straight to the trans cooler as it was fitted as part of the tow pack,and mate let me tell you ive had no issues with the trans,so as the old saying goes...

try your ignition switch?????my vr started stalling and asked a mate that suggested ign switch,replaced it myself and still going good...theres a how to on the forum if ur keen to give it a go urself...like i said i did,got the switch from sprints,took bout 45 mins,saved myself abit of cash...

all sorted...found a how to fix the reverse light switch...bulk easy only took 15 mins...tested a few times to make sure that it was working and all good, also wile the switch was apart i cleaned the insides with contact cleaner and lube to make sure itd be ok...
