Yeah, that's what's annoying. I can deal with the AFM noise :) I'm still after a pic of anyones Manta exhaust to see if it is supposed to have two mufflers!

I think because it bottoms out easily, and generally doesn't do much.

Ah yes, I haven't forgotten your PM! :) AFM is still on however you can tell when AFM kicks in and that's not the drone that I'm worried about. It drones under acceleration between 1400 - 2100 odd RPM. Will do when I can get a decent shot again

Not happy with the catback. Lots of drone, pretty much on par with the j-pipes. Sigh. In other news, plastidipped the wheels. I think it looks good, and that's what counts, right?

I just though I'd add that I wired in my radar detector to the Orange (12V) of the overhead lights and it works fine. Obviously need to turn it on/off, though.

If I were able to pick up a SS Inductions Growler kit (yes, I know people dislike them) for sub $300, would it be worth it over the stock intake, given that I am going to have the car tuned soon?

Ahoy there Pirate, we meet again! I have had a look at the Rotofab. So the problem with the stock intake is that the bends aren't smooth? Would replacing the bit behind the MAF going into the engine with this smoother pipe help?

I've got stock subs which do the job in terms of bass for me, I'm just after more clarity from the speakers. Thanks for the input guys, looks like I will amp the front and try and to find some 2ohm 2-ways for the rear that'll work off the headunit. (unless there's a really good reason not to)

I think Tas was for amping the rears, unless I've misunderstood him? I do have factory subs that I believe are run off the rear channel, so I wouldn't want to fade too much to the front. What if I don't replace the rears?

Sorry - car battery.

I had this happen on my '06 Berlina. Left the battery unplugged overnight and it fixed it.

I removed the j-pipes and sold 'em off, and I'll be getting a Manta catback installed soon (found a place who will do them for a good price). Next up is either a tune or I'm thinking of replacing and amping the speakers, as they're terrible.

I have found a few that are 2 Ohm but most car audio stuff seems to be 4 Ohm. To save me pulling off my door trims, can anyone confirm that the Series 2's have the same impedance? Also, jr, did you install the amp yourself?

In my searches I came across Navigation Systems Australia Including BMW Models - I wouldn't recommend them unless someone here has proof otherwise? I asked them what map database shows when it's in the iQ and they've said "Sorry but we don’t have a device to check that numbers"

Haha, I was going to post a thread like this soon. I want to do the same thing - I saw somewhere that the lights are constant 12v and you could use them (edit - found it https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/12v-power-roof.233527/post-2638774) , but it wouldn't be like the acc wire so...

So I purchased these mufflers and regret it immensely. Sounds good either idling or over 2000RPM, but below that.. YUCK.

Thanks for all the advice, really appreciate it - very much a n00b at soldering. So far, all I've managed to do is brown the terminal a little bit - it doesn't seem to melt enough to be able to move the connectors. Should I be trying to move the tip of the solder iron to the top of the terminal?

I thought I'd give it another shot, soldering this time. Not heaps confident soldering, especially upside down. Is there anyway to take the cover off the subs on the parcel shelf and take them out?

There's less 'bang' in E10 and E85, which results in the engine using more fuel. I haven't run E85 yet but E10 usually nets me about 1 - 1.5 more usage L per 100k's I think E85 will give you a little more mid-range torque, but you'll most likely find that the extra price (I'm not sure what...

Power upgrade is decent... I can see myself wanting more soon though. Nah, hard to find manual plus most of my driving is highway these days so :) This is the tint!

Even on the S1's, the Calais/V's never got the gauges that the (SV6?)/SS/SSV's had. It was a 'sporty' feature Will certainly do! Every car needs tint :)

Fantastic, thanks once again for your help! I find, for the driving I do, AFM is quite useful and I don't want to turn it off. Without being hooked up to anything, I assume the flaps default to whatever position they were last in?
