I've only had it for a little under a month. It was a private sale. I took it for a good test drive when I bought it and didn't notice a thing wrong. Only noticed the slight slipping when chopping down to second on motorway a few weeks later. Only got really bad after I did change. :(

Thanks for the replies. Is it normal for it not to slip under heavy load / torque but to slip under high RPM?

I'm after your guys wise wisdom once again. I' had to replace my heater tap a few months ago and have had cooling problem ever since. Found the cooling system to be in horrible condition and start replacing. This is what I (And mechanic) have done, in order. Replace heater tap 3 Flushes...

My opinion would be to leave that stuff to the professionals mate, way too important. Next time you might find out doing 100km/h down a hill.

It took about 4 litres to fill at least though. While it was on. Wasn't a leak whilst it cooled down.

That's true, but I was sitting still for quite a bit in traffic. Perhaps it was because our driveway was on an incline.

Thanks for the replies! When it overflowed it was running in the garage. I re-filled and drove to supermarket last night. A little overflowed onto ground while it was parked but not much. Have been on three drives today, two of them were mostly in start stop traffic (Festivle on by my house)...

Thermostat was replaced. Do you think a possibility it didn't open and caused alot of pressure? My main question was can a badly overfilled overflow bottle cause this?

Thanks Ian I'll give that a try. I noticed once when I was filling it, once car warmed up the water was going up and down in the radiator neck and then flowing over. Is this a bad sign / a sign of an airlock? I've tried bleeder screw, and usually once car is warm there is a fairly steady stream...

Thanks for the replies guys. I replaced the radiator cap with the exact same brand etc. as the last one when we flushed it. No leaks from the water pump, and belt looks pretty good. I'll have a more in-depth look at the water pump today.... if it stops raining. Fans seem to be coming on...

I had this same problem. My rims didn't have any center locating rings. The wheel was quite loose on the hub when it wasn't tightened. My tire guy was pretty sure this was my problem. They're currently on order :)

I had a similar problem recently. I was missing the center locating rings in the middle of my Rims. They're a rubber ring the stops the rim from moving around the hub (I think).

Hey guys. My VY has had an aftermarket body kit put on it. And I was looking at it the other day, and was thinking it would probably look better without the wing. There's four phillips screws holding it on, I thought that wasen't really enough and took them out. Still was on there quite well so...

I had a similar problem, had to replace the throttle cable because the plastic bit on the bracket had broke =P

I've got one of these kits, they're okay =P

I agree, I have never been sprayed by cars because I follow at an appropriate distance if there's that much surface water! And with stones, well usually you'll have to be speeding through temporary works areas etc. to do damage.

I get the same noise when I plug my iPod charger in whilst I'm playing music through the head-deck (Aux in Mod). But only when it's charging.

I did this on my VY Single Stack. Along with a High>Low converter at same time for Sub from Rear speaker output behind Headdeck. Works a charm!

Mines an Ex Cop car (Might of been tuned), but I have 18" Rims, and I have tested mine with 1) An oncoming Cops in-car radar (Not the best way!) 2) A speed sign on side of road 3) GPS App on Phone as well as on a GPS. All three methods have been right on the dot.
