    Ben's 2005 VZ Calais V8

Thanks mate :) Engine covers are definitely already back on, only took them off so I could clean them and the engine properly. I like how it looks better with the engine covers on. Will take more photos of how it looks soon!

    Ben's 2005 VZ Calais V8

By the way, I have now replaced the electric antenna with a brand new one, and have replaced a couple of other minor things that were damaged. All genuine parts used of course :)

    Ben's 2005 VZ Calais V8

Sorry for the late reply guys, just having some complications in my personal life and haven't been on here. Thanks mate, over the weekend I went over the whole car with a clay bar and the paint feels so much more smoother now. I then went over it with polish, and I am glad I did. It rained...

    Ben's 2005 VZ Calais V8

Yeah I will clean up the engine myself when I get a chance. Was thinking of getting an OTR and mafless tune. Haven't had much to do with V8's so definitely keen on learning what I can do to give it more life

VZ Calais Low Fuel Warning Not Working?

Hey guys, I have a 2005 VZ Calais V8 and the low fuel warning has not come on since I have owned the car (about 3-4 weeks) the gauge seems to be working fine and even the "fuel used" said 60 litres and it took 60 litres when I filled it up. It said 47kms to empty but no matter how low it goes...

    Malibu Underestimated?

You must be short if you think the seat is too low, it has electric seats with height adjustment. I am short but was able to adjust it to the perfect height

    Malibu Underestimated?

Seriously, has anyone ever gone to see one of these cars or taken one for a drive? I never really thought much about these cars, but recently I hired a car from Thrifty, and they ended up giving me a free upgrade to a brand new 2016 Holden Malibu CD Sedan. I didn't really know what to...

How about the new Arnotts Shapes?

Has anyone else tried the "New and Improved" Arnotts Shapes? I have now tried the BBQ (wasn't too bad), Cheese and Bacon (wasn't a fan), and Pizza (was ok). But I much prefer the original flavours, and think that have made a huge mistake. I believe they should at the very least keep the...

2009 VE SSV vs 2007 BF MKII XR6 Turbo. Which one would you choose?

I get what you are saying. I am happy with the power my VE SSV has, and the only reason I am thinking of selling it, is so I can pay out the loan, and only have one car loan instead of two. But if I end up selling it, I wan't something with the same, if not more power, at an affordable price...

2009 VE SSV vs 2007 BF MKII XR6 Turbo. Which one would you choose?

Thinking about buying an exhaust system for the VE SSV to make it sound much better, and then I will definitely want to keep it even more haha

2009 VE SSV vs 2007 BF MKII XR6 Turbo. Which one would you choose?

Hey guys, So basically, I am trying to decide if I would be as happy (if not more happy) if I had the BF MKII XR6 Turbo over my VE SSV Wagon (6.0L Manual). I financed my VE SSV last year, and then a couple of months later I financed a 2013 Toyota Hiace Van for work (Contractor for Australia...

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

Paid $25,000 for it mate. Yeah I was going to get a black wagon, but after owning 3 other black cars and remembering what they were like to keep clean, decided on this colour as my next favourite. Thanks mate, definitely does. Was thinking about getting supersports for it maybe in the future.

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

Thanks mate, I agree, best thing I could have done was remove the black plasti dip. I'm happy with how it looks now :)

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

UPDATE: I have sold my VYII Calais, and my VE SSV is now my daily car, love every minute of driving it, and it is the best/nicest daily car I have ever had. Averages about 500km per tank around town, so pretty good on fuel, and so comfortable to drive. First week of January, I drove it from...

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

Not sure what the colour is called, wasn't sure about it when I first looked at the car but it's going on me now and I like it :) Yeah I like the black roof lining, got cream colour roof lining in the VE and I like the look of the black better. In other news, I have ordered some performance...

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

Going to change the oil and filter soon because I'll be taking it on a roadtrip to Victoria and back on the first week of January.

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

It has 110,000kms, bit more than what I wanted but couldn't turn it down because the car is immaculate and looks like its done 40,000kms. I was looking for a black one but then decided on this colour, at least it will be easier to keep clean than it would if it was black.

My 2010 Holden VE SSV Sportwagon L98 Manual Voodoo

So since I blew the gearbox in my VS Berlina L67, I decided I just don't want to continue with spending money on it (even though all it needs is a gearbox). I think it's just come to the point where I am over it and just wanted something different. So I started looking around and decided on...

My 1995 Holden VS Berlina Sedan - L67, A2A Intercooled, Plus Heaps More

Hey guys, I have blown the gearbox on my VS, and as I don't have the time to fix it up, I have decided to sell it as it is. If anyone is interested in buying it, please let me know. Car still moves, but making a horrible noise from the gearbox when the clutch is disengaged.

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

Thanks mate, it is a nice colour, wasn't sure about it when I first got it but ended up really liking it. Sunroof cost $2250, they came out to my house to install it, took them half a day. Was the same people who used to fit them to the brand new Holdens and HSV. To me it was worth it...

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

I've adjusted how hard it rides now, out of 30 settings, they are on number 12 (0 being softest and 30 being hardest), and out of all the cars I have owned and the different suspension setups I have used, this setup by far handles the best and most comfortable. Yes it does ride a bit harder from...

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

Still rides awesome, but thats on the softest setting, and also handles 75% better now, so much less body roll driving on windy roads. I have adjusted them again and made them a bit harder, but haven't tried it out yet, just going to find a setting I like. Love the height though, won't be...

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

Just a quick update, will add more photos and information when I get a chance. Started a new job about 6 weeks ago so lately I have been able to put some money towards getting my Calais how I want it! So I have now had the following done, electric sunroof, personalised number plates and...

That would be good because I have been worried that they won't go as low as I want to go

    VY Coilovers

Hey guys, Thinking about going getting XYZ Coilovers tomorrow, just wondering if anyone has fitted coilovers in their VY and has any photos of how low they can be adjusted? Cheers, Ben

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

Yeah I'm going to mostly leave it, was just going to do some small modifications like 3.4" pulley and high ratio roller rockers. I am related to a Tony Galea. Yeah but they are aftermarket as Holden no longer has them, trying to chase a set of genuine cream floor mats. Update in the...

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

It might be, but it's not as bright in real life as it is in the photo. Just the way the camera took the photo, looks heaps better in real life.

VY 03 Digital speedo like VZ

I went to a Holden dealer today who said that can't do it. So I went to another one even further away and they said they can do it, they don't want to do it but they will, and that it takes an hour and it will cost me $125. So I'm not sure what I should do

    Ben's 2004 Holden VYII Calais L67

No not at all, just have to pull the headunit apart and solder 6 wires to the PCB. For it to work you have to have the radio on FM or AM, and then flick a switch that cuts out the audio for the radio and plays the audio from the iPpd instead. If you play a CD then the will override iPod audio.
