the pulley for my water pump has a lot of play in it and a grinding noise which suggests to me bearings? I just want to make sure it's jut the bearings and not the pump itself so I don't go spending money unnecessarily? advice would be great I need to drive to work tomorrow :s

even JC members, trying to save a few bucks, the dimming switch on my VZ has snapped off inside the switch unit itself. I though It would be a pretty straight forward fix after getting the switch out of the dash but then getting into the switch itself has proven a pain in the ass, any one...

yet I mean I ha a fair bit of an oily build up in the intake pipe, read that it was normal by you seem to know what youre talking about :) whats the best way to flush the sludge from the engine if there is a build up?

what's the best way to get rid of the sludge, my intake pipe had a fair bit, I have only had the car for like 9months and have been doing regular oil changes to try and avoid this, who know what the previous owner did to the poor car though :(

this was covered the other day, i know because i was curious about the same thing. its completely normal, just the engine feeding oily fumes back through to be burnt off to reduce emissions. thats what i have read so nothing to worry about:beer chug:

i fixed mine with some araldite 2 part epoxy and cut up cable ties, pretty crappy setup having a plastic hinge and spring setup in my opinion. 4 months later and the fix is still going strong.

i have heard alot of good things about the QFM pads, but are the not about 120 a set? i cant justify spending that money on a car that doesnt get driven hard enough that frequently

easy done, well CJ auto parts has got me so far, might check super stop brakes in boxhill as it is much closer. but DBA's all round and some pads and some brake fluid for a full system flush sounds like the plan. cheers for all the help

nah im capable of doing it myself have done the brakes on a VR, pretty sure its the exact same in a VZ so the 450 is straight to the pads and rotors

got $450 for chrissy and need to do my breaks. 450 is my budget and i need new front and rear disks and pads. happy to throw a few extra dollars at it if it will be worth it. any suggestions or advice would be great.

i had this same issue after i hopped a gutter? bent the lower adjustable control arm and then screwed with all the sensors.

if i drive in NSW do i need to follow NSW p plate laws? the reason i ask this is i drove all the way through NSW not realizing that P-platers are not allowed to exceed 90km/h....

did mine with with PVC pipe of hard rubbish collection, win. i have had this mod for 2 months now it doesn't make any noticeable difference to performance in my opinion but does give it a much nicer induction noise. well worth the time it takes to do.

i wasnt to keen on the flood waters myself, but had no choice other than a 3 hour detour round it. just remembered to keep the revs up and try not to worry about the two hole mod filling my intake with water.... ill get on the wd-40 and silcone spray and hopefully that will fix it till i give...

as a P player myself I don't get why your whining. it's a V6. would of been better off making the car look nice and sound nice(well as nice as 6 can) and saving your money so you can buy an 8 later on.... just my opinion
