VZ alloytec (how do i change spark plugs)

Ricey's way Ricey, I did it your way. Easy, quick and no unnecessary expense for gaskets. Thanks for that. The old plugs looked fine but I can certainly notice an improvement with the new ones. Hopefully fuel consumption will also improve. I don't know how old the original ones were...

    Resetting the SRS Airbag warning

I just hope you mean "braking" rather than going around and "breaking" your car. Have you considered fixing the fault causing the Airbag Warning to come on before having the code cleared?:hmmm:

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

Different Bumpers That is a logical conclusion however if you look at the photos at post #17 (click to make them bigger) you will see that the bumpers are quite different between the Adventra and the Crewman.

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

Recall You are correct though it only seemed to refer to the Adventra not the Crewman Cross6/8 derivatives. Here is the recall notice: Holden—VY Adventra PRA number: 2005/7675 Date created: 29th April 2005 This recall was closed on the 26th August 2010 Product information Product...

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

Why! Why have a forum at all if we should just ring GMH everytime we have a question?:hmmm: I mean it has only been 5yrs 8mths since the original question was asked! If you look at the post from 05/03/2006 you will note that GMH was asked and they referred it to a dealer. I asked a service...

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

:hmmm:I want to know because I am curious! For some reason it was put there and if you look at the plug some thought has been given to its design. It is not a simple "blanking plug". I have taken a photo of the front and back of the removed plug.

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

There is nothing behind the bumper as such. I don't think it could be used for spotlights or a bull bar as there is only one plug/hole in the bar. It is on the passenger' side only below the left headlight.

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

Nothing but flat metal As previously mentioned in this thread there is nothing but flat metal behind the plug. There are no threaded holes, hooks or anything else related to a towing/recovery point. Does anybody know what the plug/hole is for?????????????? I have taken a couple of photos to...

VZ AWD RANGE: Crewman Cross6 is HERE!

I know this post is over 5 years old but does anyone absolutely know for certain what the plug is for? From removing it and looking at what is behind it, I cannot believe it is for a recovery point. There does not appear to be a hook or something similar there.

VZ alloytec v6 belt tensioner removal

I just did mine and I only undid the centre bolt. Mine is different even though it is a VZ Alloytec. It is a VZ Cross 6 Crewman built 2006. These are a little different to some other VZ Alloytecs. They have two serpentine belts, two tensioner pulleys and one idler pulley. You do not have to undo...

VZ alloytec v6 belt tensioner removal

No need to remove tensioner base plate. Just remove belt as described by relieving tension on pulley then undo the bolt that holds the tensioner assembly in place. Nothing will fly apart. Replacement is reverse. There is no need to remove the tensioner mounting plate from the block.
