gday. im having an odd problem with my calais cd player. just recently it stared not reading song data on the cd's. it knows how many songs are on it but when you go to a different track it will do nothing. you can hear a very very faint clicking in it. sometimes it will just stay at 0 seconds...

isent the old way to get airlocks out of the cooling line just open the radiator cap when its cold and have it running for 20 min. it will burp and burble if there are any airlocks in it and just top it up if needed.

why would you waste money on a stock amp and wire it up. you probably get more power out of the stock head unit. -_-

i forgot which pins it was. but if you but a 5 ohm resister acrose the seat belt senser it will stop the chime.

the point of a gilmer belt is to MAKE that sound. not be silent. but the big problem with the belt is that when it gets to temp it usually expands about 20% of its own mass. shrinking the internal teeth and usually pulling the pullys apart. usualy it will put so much stress on the alternator...

the only time they usually throw them is when people have a heavy foot. your flooring it to much.

is that sludge just the **** oil that holden use.. i find it hard for an engine to do that naturally. i know that engines will build up sludge,. but thats over a stupid amount of time without any care. not in between services.

i can tell you why your throwing the AC belt. your flooring it to much. for some reason. the v6 and v8 like to throw AC belts when people thrash them..

my dad had a stato. its totally the same. id dare say it had MORE room for your hands then my car. the only difference are those little like.. eye brow lights. but everything is the same. if you get somome with a normal ve holden owners manual. its at the back of section 6. they are super easy...

did you put 5 to 6 layers of plasti dip on. i blacked out my chrome on my calais.. and i just peeled it off a couple weeks ago after over a year of it being on.. came off in one piece.

thats all crap. you can easly replace them. just take off the radiator shroud. then pull out the coolent neck. it just pops off. and change the lights.. for the other side. just remove the air filter box. takes 20 min to replace. no bumper bar removed.

or you can buy a 30 buck can of plasti dip.. paint it.. and if you hate it.. peel it off and paint it another color.

i dont know why you unscrewed it. the clip just pops off and you can take the light out.. the clip is on a hinge so it swings out. i changed mine not 2 weeks ago. took me 20 min to change all the lights including the high beams and parkers.. you don't even need to take the bumper off like idiots...

now. taking a guess. id say Calais rims have a 40 to 50mm positive offset.

im guessing no one in this thread acutely knows what offset means?. -_-. if you go into a tyre mob and ask for an 8" offset. they will look at you like your an idiot. sigh.... here....

iv had the car for 3 years. never made that sound. second i get it back it squeaks. a week later it just stops.. wish i knew what it was.

na. i have great situational awareness of my car. any little thing changes i know about. even when the tyre pressure changes even by a little i can feel it. any little squeak or noise i will know about with ma car. im just odd like that :P

its called throttle lag. for some reason the signal from the gear box and the accelerator dont marry up sometimes and you will get a lag that causes the throttle to open up later then it should. go to holders and get it updated and it will be sweet as.

it god damn stopped on its own.. i swear my car must have sentience now or something. i ring up to book it in. and that day it stops. it must know that i was angry with it. -_-. also. when i went to change the wheel nuts over to black. my god. i needed a 4 foot poll to get the damn things off...
