I am currently trying 100 % Octane from United service stations in my 2000 S series 3 VS 3.8 Ute. Cost $1.45 ltr, this is the replacement for 98% octane. So far noticed increased performance, more responsive have not finalised litres per 100km yet.

Common problem with a lot of VS, mine did the same I physically cleaned battery / earth terminals etc it made a difference. Check out the advanced search function and you will find a lot more answers to this and heaps of other problems. This topic appears nearly every week. Good luck.

As said above by the looks of that muffler I would suggest its rusty water on driveway. Caused by water vapour as also mentioned. Replacing it will fix that part of the problem.

Hay Andy Forgot to say you can use clothes pegs to hold until the glue dries should be no more than 1 hour. You can remove all the door seal if required just prise off, and push's back on.

Andy, 2 pack would do there is a few on the market available at most hardware stores I got some the other day for about $4.50. Just read packet for an application that best suits your task. 2 packs dry fairly quickly also.

G'Day Andy, There is a lot of good adhesives on the market for repair, I got a quote for new rubbers at rare spares Wagga for $75 a side. So you could assume the same price or cheaper in town. I'm not sure if originals held with adhesive or were just a tight fit.

I get 500+ out of tank in my Ute, mainly Hwy work but. And If it comes down to a Holden Commodore 2000 VS S V6 series 3 ute verses a Subaru Mmmmmm let me think "no contest". Its what you personally want some things cost more but, think of the enjoyment etc.

I replaced my rear shockers in the ute with Gabriel Ultra heavy duty today. $108 each from rare spares Wagga. Only driven from work no real test but feels better will give better feed back on the shockers when I take her for a run tomorrow.:beer chug:

Yep, My VS S 2000 series 3 has central locking as standard, and as stated interior light comes on at the same time. Light indicators flash twice when activated.

Eliminate your boot rust problems all together, buy a VS ute. :beer chug:

Agree guys, hose's will be hard under normal op's. As thermostat opens and close's pressure will change. I'd be more concerned with no pressure and high temp.

Never pays to be a heat seeker, they pull you over for lights and find something else wrong.

I brought my sensor last week for $54 from holden parts lilydale. All up including replacing some radiator fluid 1/2 hr job and the vehicle has never run better. It would also pay to have all memory cleared from your ECU.
