haha I have the opposite - my LCD is blank on cold mornings (usually during winter) and only works once the car has warmed up! I asked about it and they just told me I was imagining it, so I've had to learn to live with it.

I bought the module for my Omega and installed it myself. It's the first thing I've ever installed in a car and it took me less than an hour. The instructions came in the box with pictures and everything, very impressed. Think it cost me about $300 and never given me any problems.

I've been reading the NRMA Open Road on and off today, and they've actually got a page that mentions this same thing! They suggest turning the key to Acc while waiting at the lights to conserve fuel! Surely there's got to be some reason why so many people are suggesting it?? I can't see it...

My handbrake doesn't fully stop the car from rolling if I'm sitting at the traffic lights on a hill, gear in Drive, apply handbrake, and release footbrake. Is this normal, or does it mean it needs looking at? If it needs looking at, what sort of thing would need to be done? Indy.

Yes I mean push the buttons in and hold them in for about 2 secs. Its probably slightly less, but 2 secs should be easily enough. Indy.

i find that i have to hold mine down (or "push them") for about 2 secs before the display is reset. They dont seem to be as sensitive as the Mode button is for changing the display. Indy.

Some locksmiths can actually program the head for you as well. I got my last key done at a locksmith in rockdale here in sydney. Really good service too, I didn't feel like I was being ripped off as much as I do when I go to the local holden dealer. I think it cost me $60 all up. Indy.

I've found that after washing the car, the driver's door lock doesn't come up all the way and you need to use the key to lift it up fully. After a couple of hours (when it's dried out) it works ok. Dunno about the boot release though. Indy

Well i managed to get Lube Mobile to come out and check the light for free! Turns out that there actually is a fault, and they say only Holden can fix it because its the airbag system. Is this true? Are there any other places that will fix airbags or do they tend to shy away from them...

Geez well I rang two different Holden dealers - both told me it'd be about $100 just to reset it! And then carried on with the "it never goes off for no reason so it'd probably be an expensive job because the airbags are complicated" routine. All sounds very dodgy to me.

That's not too bad then. I've just had a major service done on the car a few weeks back and didnt fancy forking out another few hundred just to reset a light! Indy.
