I'm currently using 5metre RCA leads, to connect several components to my television, it works fine, but is it ok to do so?

Are you asking is it fine to split the RCA leads or are you asking if they are too long?

if it's ok to split them, like using 1pair, and then one lead off another pair, and using them instead of AV plugs?

Well AV plugs and RCAs are the same thing. When you split them you are reducing the voltage which would reduce the signal clarity but if its not posing a problem I really don't see anything wrong with it.

Is there something specifically wrong with it that you are trying to fix?

Well the AV plugs you get with things when you buy them, are lucky to be 1 metre long.Without even trying to find out if you could buy longer AV cords, i just thought i would try out the RCA's,i had spare, and they worked. Seeing as their 5 metres long, i can basically put stuff wherever i want.. just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to cause any problems by using them..

My suggestion would be to not try and start your car underwater, I hear its bad for the engine. Though I've heard Bugatti Veyrons are good for 15min underwater.

It's the coolant running through the lines. When it's low, or has air blockages, you will hear it. Start the car when it's cold, and take the cap off your radiator. Turn your your heater onto max, so it causes the thermosat to open all the way. You will need to add coolant via the radiator, while bleeding it of any air leaks at the same time. You will find a small flat head screw on your thermostat housing, you simply undo this to allow any air out.

Mate I honestly have no clue. I suppose anything is possible but it will depend on how deep your pocket is. I think it would be pretty damn sick but I'm not sure if it would be worth the effort involved.

Joe I think you really need to get the threads title change to something like, "Don't be shy! Post up any questions you may have about (my?) car audio products!".

Don't be shy guys, post up any questions you might have. My section is for interaction so I'm happy to answer any questions, even if you think it might be dumb, just ask away! (Only if its audio related by the way )
