'H' standing for Hoon! apparently you get issued these after failing the first stage of the new law that gives the cops the right to take ur car from u for a certain periord of time! (dont excatly no wot its called)
Which is a bullshit law any ways he talks a bit of shit this mate of mine just wondering if this is true or is he living up to his name?

well on the news they were talking about "hoon platers" but i don't think they're actually going to issue 'H' plates, but knowing governments, it wouldn't surprise me

rofl, ide be a proud displayer, imagine the looks u would get from old people.

i dont know about their use if its true or not. but what would their purpose be? to warn cops so they follow u and TARGET U, asif the P plate isnt enuff

    doubt they would exist tho

im more worried about the new law in SA, when your caught speeding/breaking law, ur license ets rolled back. id have to go on L's :|

if a l plater is stupid enough to break a law they have to sit for the theory again haha!

That's the problem with H plates. It would become a badge of honour, rather than a shameful sort of a thing..

badge of honour if your a wanker.....why would you want to parade around the fact that you got caught doin burnouts or whatever?
i reckon they're a ###n stupid idea..... as RipCell said it would make you a target bad...copper would see a h plate and pull ya over instantly, check ya car over and no doubt if you got a dog cop hed pull you up on something and make you change something.....

"H Plates - better than a target on you boot!"

Sounds like a bloody stupid idea. As much as I'd like a set, I wouldn't like the attention that would come from them. Any driver with H plates would lose all credibility instantly, from both police and a magistrates' court.

They crush cars once you get caught 3 times hooning? Thats so sad.. what did the car do to them! Btw, these "H Plates" would be so stupid, Cops would pull u over every second, people on the roads would think ur a wanker(and prolly not let u merge!) And it would be against the law anyways, because it would be descrimination. Having people display that they are "Hoons" would be like making people wear tattoos on thier heads saying they were Thieves. (altough that would be mad at least ull know what company ur in.) So... id say 99% ur friend is lying , or just has his facts wrong. Witchever.

Here in QLD they dont crush the car, they sell it and put the funds into "consolidated revenue". Im pretty sure that would be the same in all states.
Im not a complete idiot, some parts are still on backorder!

that wrong they shouldnt b allowed 2 sell ur car.. take ur license of ya fair enough.. that is in the interest of saftey but taking someones car is purely for revenue raising..

hence the reason the my car is under my old girls name and always will be. i agree is b/s how they can take your car sell it off or crush it, the car had nothing to do with hooning thats just my heavy foot!
what i don't understand is they take your licence but you can get it back eventually, if you had say an XA GT hardtop coupe in original and mint condition and happend to get a bee's dick of spin 3 times and a cop saw you 3 times then they take it and sell it im sure you'd murder someone you can't replace a classic! it's not right!

your a wanker. You seriously think giving power hungry cops the chance to crush peoples cars.

I can imagine now, some cop didn't get laid the night before, finds the nearest P plater and gets them for 'hooning'. Then all it takes is 2 more of the same. Cops have way too much power in this regard, especially because your average person wont have the time or money to fight it in court, so they'll have no choice but to accept it.

In my opinion, the government should try to stop drink drivers for good (anyone remember the 3 time drink driver tried as a first offence), as they kil people, not burnouts, and to some extent, speeding doesn't either.

Also, how about some O plates for all the old drivers so other road users know that they wont be indicating, will randomly be pressing the brakes, and wont be aware of any other road users. Then i'd like some W plates for women drivers, and this is purely my opinion, as i know very few good women drivers. Then we could also bring it down to race, as Many asian drivers can't even negotiate the simplist of driving techniques (obviously besides drifters, but i'm talking a day to day basis).
If anyone takes offence to this post, you obviously havn't driven on an Australian road lately, as there everywhere.
