Angry 4 day Old shocks leaking already

    OK just a small rant..

Got sum new front shortened shocks to go with me supa lows put in on Friday (27th) and they have busted and are leaking all over the place, oil is everywhere in the guard and all over me sway links n springs...

I got the fitted at a tyre place as i couldnt remove the nut that held the shock in the strut, and got a wheel align aswell.

Getting them replaced on warrenty but still why the hell would they burst after only a few days.

Failed me pink slip for rego because of it...

Now i gotta fork out sum more dosh to get em takin out n replaced ffs...

In me VN i had supalows n had the standard size shocks in there n they lasted fine, n the proper onse in the calais dont even make it a week b4 they go...

    Anyways thats my rant

How many other ppl have stories like this where they got new bits in and they cark it within a couple weeks

thats crap man, what brand of shocks where they? its pretty sketchy that they didnt even last a week, they must have already been stuffed for that to happen..or possibly the bloke who put them in stuffed up something and caused them to leak?

Had 2 buy another set of shocks to put in while these ones get sent off.
Hopefully they are faulty, not that the ppl who put them, coz if they put multi-grips or sumfink on them i wont get them on warrenty.
I dont wanna go thru all the hassle of tryin to get them to re-imburse me for a dodgy job.

Ok got new onse fitted for free on sat, old once are beyond stuffed, they make a really crunchy sqeaky noise wen u press them in the u have to pull them out, they dont extend them selfs.

One is alot worse than the other.

They got sent to monroe yesterday, hopefully it wont take long for reply.

New onse feel better than other ever did.

Got a small cluck still, so need to replace strut tops, just goin to get genuine, dont wanna get aftermarket onse as i like my ride height now.

Just goin to get a kmac camber caster plate to fix me camber up in the front.

Still more money i didnt have on new shocks, hopefully it wont take long for monroe to test them so i can be re-imbursed the amount.

I got me shocks off Reckless Motor Sport JC sponsor, they were 165 for front.

Cost 120 to get fitted from Bridgestone Tyre as i couldnt get th nut off where they join to strut bracket.

Wish i could of got them off as i dropped the car myself...

If ur goin to get new shocks off monroe spend a bit more n get the Sensortrac onse as the GT Gas Reflex are crap..
These new onse are feeling like they are goin to do the same as the dodgy set.

yeah i will take the advise and if they pick on my shocks on the RW ill get the good set, did you have trouble getting the nut off or braking the taper?

although $120 isnt bad, its a bit tricky to get them off
