Albino SS

General Information

This my 1993 VP SS.
Not many over here in this condition anymore.
This is the second time I've owned her, never going to get rid of her again.
Still original paint and Interior.
Has after market exhaust and running a Gilmores belt.
I searched for period wheels and put 90's ROH Z01's on her, and found a period set of louvers, which are harder to find than Jesus himself here in NZ.
Still running the 304 in her, still nice and tight, just running a K&N.
Has been lowered with shortened shocks, but had to use bolt on spacers due to the 8" ROH's and IRS.
A VP in this condition is a treat, and will stay in our family for ever.

Schmick mate! Very clean unit there!

I can see why you want to hang on to it ;)

Cheers

Hi Bennie.

Yeah shes a beauty thats for sure, just having trouble finding a level 2 dash cluster for her, as the original ones odometer and trip meter has stopped working, as they all do with these old girls.

Have you looked into an instrument cluster specialist? I'm sure they could rebuild the original cluster but at what cost/wallet damage I don't know...

You can pull the dash's apart and replace the little cog'c that run the odo/trip.. I have done that on mine when they stopped.

That's a nice tidy car. I'll definitely be having a closer look if I see it at a local event one day.

i am going to give you the heads up on the speedo/odometer not working, look i lived in NZ for 23 years i am an aussie i live in australia, i did my automotive training at UNITEC in auckland , i worked for FORD in New lynn west auckland, ( dont hold a grudge on it i prefer the holdens )and some holden wreckers, anyway having replaced the cogs before they are tiny little cogs in the instrument cluster, they cost $9 australian on EBAY , and on you tube you will find videos of how simple fixing that problem is, it is literally a 5 minute job .
