As I'm sure everybody has noticed, there is a long standing issue with newly registered users posting in the ASR Audio sponsor forum, asking irrelevant questions, and even promoting other peoples' products in there.
It's hardly fair on poor ol' Greg, and it seems to happen in ASR far more than any other sub-forum, one can only assume because it's at the top of the list - and the first thing many people click on.
A really simple solution would be to simply restrict people from posting threads in there till they have 5-10 posts, which should be enough for people to orient themselves in the forum.
All of this obviously only if Greg was Ok with it.

I just think people need to be made aware of the rules once again and harsher penalties put in place.

Indeed this has been an ongoing royal pain for both us and poor Greg.
A few are filtered by the use of keywords for users with less than one post but not all.
I guess the best thing we can do is simply put in a list of keywords in place which will eliminate a big portion of the problems.
There are other issue's where members are posting technical questions in the 'My Ride' section and then there's the how-to section which is being used for how do I do something, you then get members why it takes soo long to have their post / thread approved, this is the exact reason because we are having to move posts / threads around.
LOL!! Not to worry guys - it's not that bad.... (I just have a littlew dummy spit at times - when I'm flat broke! HAH!! Should be ranting now!)
Don't pay it too much attention fellas - although it might be a good idea in general - for all site sponsors - that new posts are restricted to somewhat more "active" members.... (although then we'll find that these people will lodge 5 or 10 posts, but meaningless ones - simply to get their counts up....)
It's no real biggie for me anyhow. In many caases one of the mods will move them in time before I delete them....Well, I have posted a sticky telling people that's what I'll do! LOL!!
Seriously though, a big thanks to you guys for keeping an eye on that for me. As most of you know I'm still splitting myself many ways at the moment, and "housekeeping" in the forum sometimes slips down the priority list a little...
Cheerz!
PS - Darren, I didn't get a chance to catch up with you when I was over there - sorry Mate! I'll make certain to look you up next time - which I hope isn't far away.

Greg/Darren ... a suggestion
I'm in the process of helping Greg with ASR and will be getting my little hands a bit more dirtier as time goes on with the products themselves.
I'm also always on JC at work for the pure fact everything else is blocked, but I managed to do a deal with an IT bloke I'll get his VW serviced for X price if he unblocks JC for me ... so low and behold I spend a good 2/3 hours a day just browsing, and obviously ASR is one of those forums so I can answer peoples questions.
Would it be useful to give me access to keep order in the ASR forum? I'm already doing it with the JCCCNSW section, which with the influx of "new members" from other 'problem' forums has kept me busy too but somehow Ive kept the peace and kept order at the same time.
I'm happy to do it to keep the ASR section clear.
