Due to the new layout changing some new things around, I have decided to do a write up on using JC.

1. The Basic Layout.


When looking at the forum index this is what you will see:


(From Top Left To Bottom Right)

The Forum Logo
Welcome, Username - This will take you to an overview of your account.
Notifications - Any PM's you have received.
My Profile - Same as Welcome, Username
Settings - Here you will see any infractions and reputation you have received, from here you can also go and edit your Profile details, such as avatar and signature.
Log Out - This will log you out of JC, Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Forum - This takes you to the forum index.
Blogs - Takes you to view Blogs posted by members.
What's new? - Lists all new topics / posts that have been posted recently.
New Posts - Basically the same as What's New?
Private Messages - Takes you to your PM Inbox where you can read and send messages.
FAQ - A basic explanation of site features, (Damn, wish i saw that before i wrote this.)
Calender - Shows upcoming birthdays and events.
Arcade - Chill out by playing some flash games.
Community - Drop down menu giving you options such as Groups, Photo Albums, Member List Etc.
Forum Actions - Here you can mark the forum as read or go to your profile settings.
Quick Links - View subscribed threads, Section moderators and Who's Online.
Donate - Donate some of your money to help ease the burden on Darren, Doing this gives you a green name, more features and access to the Chat box - Definitely worth it.
Chat box - For donating members only.
Advanced Search - Takes you to the forum search function where you can find all the info you will need, A How-To on searching is available here: How to use the Search Function

2. Posting a New Thread or Reply


When posting a new topic this is what you will see:

For all the icons if you hover over them with your mouse it gives you a description of what it does, I couldn't be bothered writing them all out.

Thread Tags - Post "Tags" that relate to your thread to make it more relevant in searches.
Attachments - Upload a relevant file or picture with your post.
Subscriptions - This allows you to subscribe to a thread, this means you will be alerted whenever someone replies to the thread
Create a Poll - Allows you to create a poll where other members can vote on issues relating to your thread.
Submit thread - Click this when you are done writing your thread, (Will show as Post reply when replying to a thread).
Preview Post - Preview your Post to ensure everything is O.K


3. Post Layout


When viewing a thread peoples posts will show up like this:


From Top Left to Bottom Right:

Today 3:38 PM - The date and time the post was made.
#46 - The Post number in the thread
Picture - The persons avatar, not all users have one.
TVR-161 - The posters username, links to their profile.
Coloured Rectangles - The Users reputation, Will be Either Red, Grey or Green.
Ride - What the person Drives
Join Date - The date the poster joined the forum.
Location - Where the poster lives.
Posts - The total number of counted posts the user has made, certain areas do not contribute to this (E.G. Pub)
Feeback Score - The feedback score the user has received from selling items in the radin post.

Then you will see the persons post.

Underneath that is the members Signature, In this case a Picture link to their "Ride thread" and links to other threads.

Blog this post - Posts the members post to the blog page
Star Icon - Add or deduct reputation for the member, Please refer to Repuation rules 1st.
Safety Warning Triangle - (No its not keepleft taking over) Use this if you believe the persons post breaks the forum rules.

There will now be 12 colourful icons giving you options to digg, MSN, google the post Etc.

Edit Post - For your post only, go back and change your post once you realise your argument is futile.
Reply - Reply to the post in question.
Reply with quote - Reply to the thread with that persons quote included.
Quotation mark symbol - Allows you to select Multiple Quotes for a reply.
