Bit hard to get involved in a community when it takes so many hours to see your own posts, let alone get feedback. I plan on doing a lot of custom work to my VR, and was hoping to document it and get help/feedback/ideas thru this forum...

Keep in mind I chose JC forums over SC because you guys seem to be the real grassroots commodore guys. more down to earth and not so elitist... Don't prove me wrong, fellas...

Just FYI, the people with GREEN names are donating members, NOT moderators. Moderators are Yellow/Orange, and admins are Red.

Theres not usually mods on at this hour, so your posts will be checked in the morning. But keep in mind they are volunteers, and not here to serve you 24/7.

Rightyo, was thinking of donating myself.
I understand that all this is a "love-job" for you guys, and wasn't meaning to come off too demanding, but looking over my post, I could've been more tactful.
I just a little frustrated and wrote up a huge post asking for help with my hacked sound system, and was out in the boot of my car workin on it and coming back intermittently to see if it went thru.

There's no urgent rush on it, was just running thru a few things coz she goes over the pits for roady in the morning...
I plan on becoming an active part of the community, and hope to be able to attend cruises/meets/track days etc. one day in the no-too-distant future.

Generally speaking if your post count is at 0 most posts will hit the moderation queue for a moderator to run through and approve etc. At this point you can blame spammers for this as it tends to catch most of them and for that I'm sure we are all greatful since there are only soo many phone, viagra and porn deals you can handle.

I go through the moderation queue most mornings to approve, move, delete etc which has just been done, unfortunately we can't be here day and night or in your case early hours of the mornings lol

4 weeks? that doesn't sound right considering there's no email verification required, they are active immediately as there are too many issue's with those types of mail being blocked at a filtering level.

I'm quite happy with my current phone provider, and I dont suffer from erectile disfunction, and a definite lack of need for porn (modified commodores ARE porn to me), so yeah I definitely see your point.

It's a full-on job moderating a forum, and from what I see you guys do a pretty sweet job keeping it clean and organised, and in good spirit too. The atmosphere is very important in a modified car forum, and its definitely quite relaxed here.

I feel I can talk about anything to do with my car with you guys, and to me thats like going to the doc to have my junk mucked with, a bit personal hehe...

As for the early hours of the morning, I'd only just gotten my dash and seats back in and together and stopped monkeying around in the boot, trying to make a visual map of my sound system... Didn't realise it was after 9, let alone after midnight. Sorry bout that

I think you will find that the guys on SC on not elitist at all, the problem is there are too many idiots on that site and not enough bannings.

Its hard to get a direct answer to a technical question, without getting jumped on by a load of keyboard warriors.

Didn't mention anything about technical questions. Was referring to getting jumped by keyboard warriors. MasterOfReality believes you get jump over at SC when you ask a technical question whereas here you get jumped on in The Pub irrespective of the subject.
