Signature error

I keep getting the gay signature error Your signature cannot be longer than 100 characters including BB code markup.

i used to have a sig pic and all the jazz but now for some reason ive lost it and can't change my sig at all not even to text ?


and when I try to add a hyperlink I can't at all because its longer then 100 characters



also while im at it , I used to be a donating member (probs donated about $15-20 , 2 or so years ago to become a donating member with the sig pic and the green writing etc , then I donated around $10-15 this year cos i felt like i needed to for this being such a good site etc)

and yeh now ive lost it all, whats the go with that ?


have they made it now that you have to donate $20+ a year or you will loose all the benefits ? or what ?

There should be a "Upload signature" option below the actual signature text box. Upload it there then click insert signature picture.

You cant hyperlink it.

If we were going to make changes to the status of any member we would be sure to let you know before changes are made.

I kept getting the same error...Google URL shortener was the only way I could seem to get a link to my ride thread to fit it to fit.

Nope no longer have it anymore , dont really care that ive lost the ability to upload pics and have one as my sig pic like I used to be able too.
I just want to be able to have text with a hyper link in my sig to link them to my cars threads
but I cant cos i can't even have more than 100 characters so can't even type the url of this website .. gahh

I just want to know why Ive lost my donating member perks, sig pic, more then 100 charters in the sig , the ability to have a slighty bigger Display pic, etc . When I used to have all of that less then 2-3 months ago ? ??

With any donation of $20 will not only give you a warm fuzzy feeling that you're helping the site but give you the following:
50meg in attachments.
1000 Private messages (PM's).
Profile pictures can be a maximum of 300x300 pixels and up to 150kb in size.
Avatar pictures can be a maximum of 200x100 pixels and up to 120kb in size.
Signature images can be uploaded and be animated to your hearts content.

So wouldn't that mean I would have had to pay over $20 to have all the abilities I used to have ??

and Im fairly certain that ive donated over $30 to this site like I said in my first post, but there's no record of such...



here's all I can see when I go to change sig pic ( and ive tryed doing it in chrome, firefox, IE)

And I always get the error that its too long and that I can no longer upload pics to my sig ...

I'm not sure how easily I can explain this but we'll have a crack

I setup 2 Donating member groups, 1 is for Donating Member - Low - This equates to anything less than $20, this basically gets around the 3 months + 20 technical posts rule which allows posting in the 'For Sale' section and that's pretty much it, of course chatbox access (from memory) and colour name change.

More than $20 ie $21 will get the following:

50meg in attachments.
1000 Private messages (PM's).
Profile pictures can be a maximum of 300x300 pixels and up to 150kb in size.
Avatar pictures can be a maximum of 200x100 pixels and up to 120kb in size.
Signature images can be uploaded and be animated to your hearts content.

As I can account for $15 this puts you into the Donating Member - Low usergroup.

Looking at your account no change has been made by anyone since 20th July 2009 which was me moving you into the Donating Member - Low usergroup.

Now of course if I don't have the figures right ie amount donated please by all means let me know, I am only human and can make mistakes.

As a result of looking into this and thank you for raising it the 100 character limit was incorrectly set, I have just changed this to 1000 characters, chances are this would have been there since I originally set them up.

Mentioning the loss of signatures, my thinking would be I was up early one morning going through permissions, found an error and made a correction to it. Now having said that I don't recall it but I tend to work on the site at silly hours of the morning when I've only had a few hours sleep.

thanks for setting my sig to 1000 characters ,

Im fairly certain ive payed more than $20 , cos I remember somewhere on here bragging that i donated and got to have sig pics to someone , that hadn't donated so they couldn't have a sig pic ..
but ahwell at least i can have text in my sig pic now hahhaa

btw does it matter if i payed by paypal using my mums paypal ? cos thats what i used to send the donation i sent about 2-3 months ago of around $10 ?
