help with profile pic

hi recently new to the site, i have loaded a pic of my ride on my profile page which i can see however it doesnt seem to be showing up on the posts that i submit, anyone know what im doing wrong? cheers

you have two types to choose from your personal profile picture, and your "avatar" and your avatar is the one everyone see's when you make a post somehwere and your profile one is of course on your profile. and all can be changed in the settings controls.

As above, but also make sure it is 100 pixels maximum on one side. If it's bigger it won't work. You can resize it in paint

any size works the website will automatically resize it for you.

thanks guys all your suggestions helped, i couldnt work out why prof pic and avatar are different but i knew it something to do with size so hopefully i have fixed the problem, i am also wondering how some members post pics of work they have done on their cars where the pics are shown in there posts and are the size of the whole page, picture after picture, these are great especially when doing repairs, any ideas? cheers!

Best bet is to make an account on Photobucket, upload the pics to there, then copy the "Direct Link" for each picture. Then back on the forums, click the little picture icon just above where you type a post in the toolbar, select "From url" and paste the link.
