why wont my pictures work.. i resize them and they still end up huge ( photobucket)

hey guys just a quick one

ive been trying to add a few pictures to my threads and am having a bit of trouble.. i dunno if im using photobucket wrong or something... but im uploading the photos from my phone then resizing them via the site.. i then use the img link to post into a thread and for some annoying and weird reason... the picture goes back to the orginal post..

When i preview the post the image is the resized version but when its posted... its the orignal image

anyone know wtf is going wrong..?

when your on the upload page, in very tiny writing underneath it says "Customize your upload options" then select 1024x768 (its what i use) photobucket does resize for you you dont need to do anything
