Kicked From Chat Room

every time i go in the chat room it kicks me and says my IP has been blocked (note: i have never been in there before)

sometimes chat crashes when the users nickname
has a underscore in it "_"

you did get kicked from the chatroom because your name has an underscore in it...if possible do you mind signing up again without a space, underscore etc?

When a user has this problem chatroom mods should make a note of the username and email a standard note informing them of why it happens and what can be done about it. Users can then contact admin and have their usernames edited. Otherwise we'll lose members who simply get frustrated by something out of their control. Short of that try a different chatroom set-up

try clearing out all your temp internet files and cookies then signing into the site then going to the chat area

Jason your problem would appear to stem to a db issue, I have changed your user name in PHP-Nuke which is now midnight.outlaw instead of midnight_outlaw, you should now be able to login to PHP-Nuke and click on Live Chat, any drama's let me know and I'll see what else I can come up with.

PS As it stands the support for the chat is complete rubbish which is why once we get the new site I keep talking about in place we will be choosing something else, at this stage I got no idea but feel free to chuck any suggestions in my direction.

My suggestion is PJIRC. It's totally free and there is a demo page there running at their site, on php too.

Otherwise there is jIRC. This is only 40K and you can test it free, it's here.

#justcommodores on austnet.org is free, all you would need to to set up an eggdrop on the JC server so the channel isn't pirated and you keep all control. IRC was always win-win for me.
