    Default Section for problems?

Can we have a section in Holden Commmodore Related for just problems?

Similar to the VL, VT and other sections, but one where people post their problems and hopefully get help.. It would be good place for people to showcase their technical expertise and possibly gain quite a few reputation points as well..

Main problem now is that when you post a problem in your models section, it's pretty much only people with that model car who read it..

    What you think?

I was thinking keeping the General bit just for general car chit chat.. Whatever.. Like talking about the VE or anything..

And a dedicated problem section, it would save a lot of new members a lot of digging and wasted posts. It would also make it an easy bank of information for people to refer to..

If someone's had that problem before, it would be easy to find.

C'mon Mods.. It'll take like 20 seconds to do.. Is there a downside to it? Absolute worst comes to worst, no-one uses it.. But I doubt it..

Thats admins call I don't think we have the power to add forums as mods. Downside would be it could make the place more cluttered and create confusion as to where people should be posting. Personally I think the system works pretty well as is, and if it aint broke don't fix it. If it were to be implemented I would only like to see it as a sub-forum.

I personally think it would unclutter things if anything.. But who knows til it's tried..

Darren, can we just give it a shot for two weeks or so. If it works out, then it could benefit the website.. I know on these car forums, finding specific answers to specific problems is next to impossible.. Even this one..

It could work out but it could also clutter things up.. There's only one way to find out I guess and there's not really much to lose either, if it fails..

But yeah, just a suggestion and request..

    Cheers..

I can add it if I wanted but sorry mate wont be. That is what the model specific sections are for. If you have a general problems section you then have the problem of confussing models, etc.
If it aint broke dont fix it I say............
