    Default A new area maybe?

    Hi,
I've been on this site only for a short time, and have found a fair bit of information on here to help me, and I'm hoping I've given some information to help others (I have tried)
Now what I have noticed though, is people ask for suspension help in all different areas.

Is it possible, in the Modification area, to get a suspension and brakes area made to keep these types of topics together? I've chased all over the forum for threads on suspension stuff that I've read and wanted to read again, only to not be able to remember which area it was in.
I think a proper area for suspension and brakes would be very handy.

    Thanks

    Matt

for example suspension would be different for a vc than it is for a vs. so then there might need to be a section in the suspension forum for the different models.

it is a good idea but to much stuffen around. but then again it is up to the mods.

    True, I do agree there,
But alot of suspension modification is quite similar.
The physics on how to get a car to handle a certain way, is pretty much the same for every single car as between cars, the rules of physics don't magically change. Although yes, certain models run different styles etc, but again, the basics on them are quite the same.

The other thing I'd point out. Many forums around that just cater for "4 Cylinders" or Japanese cars, have a suspension area, and it works quite well.

But yes, it is up to the mods.

I think a suspension/brakes fixing and upgrade area would be good too. But it will need to be split in a few sections

    VB-VP
    VR-VS
    VT-VZ

And maybe a section inside the VB-VP and VR-VS for the IRS rear end

and just where do you stop with all these subforums?

why not just make the search function more prominent?

Well the point is not many people are into brake upgrades, if there was a section with some guides on going from stock brakes to VLT/FE2/VP brakes or all the way to group A it might help some people stop quicker

How many more sections do you people want??
For us to change to the setup you are suggesting we would have to remove the model sections.
We simply cant have 999 different sections to post in.

What better answer? Its not going to happen because we already have enough sections. Its not going to happen because then the same thought pattern is applied to every area of modification and all of a sudden we have 999 different sections.

    Woah...

Sorry for causing a bit of a shit fight in here...

Was only just wanting the one section as I've found brake/suspension questions in "The Pub", "General" (in commodore section) then in "VR/VS" (as that's my model, so I don't view the others) then in the Modification "General Discussion" then in the "V6 Development" and there's probably alot more in other areas.

I wasn't asking for a huge split up of different models, as I don't see the point in it for suspension. The basic theory applies to ALL model of car. There is no need for different areas really...

But anyway, not worth anymore on it, just thought I'd suggest it.

    Thanks for listening anyway.

I think there will be a suspension/brake section, when the full moon has finished and airstrikes hormones return to normal

There will not be a brake/suspension section any time soon.

    Talking

Perhaps we should merge every section into one, then all common threads would be in the same 1 section, would save us mods alot of time and stop members complaining that common threads arent groupped together
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.

So we wont get a section of commonly asked questions, but we can get another semi-pub and JC poll section? ? ?
