If anything it would be more or less a 'general' LPG discussion, let me have a ponder about this one.

You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
i agree gas isnt something you play around with, sorry guys i think its a bad ideaOriginally Posted by 12Voltking
i can see it now
darren and garth how do you plea to the charges of encoruing idiots to try and modify their lpg tanks to look fully sik
nah, i thought about this myself, and alarm bells rang with me, lpg isnt something that you play with unless you got a licence to do so, people may start filling up their tanks with helium soon and blaming us
so i personaly think this might just be a bad idea, but it's upto darren after all, he jumped in first. hehehehe
i am the god of britany spears womanizer on just dance on the wii
I see the point, but mucking around with a lot of car things can cause serious issues. Just put a big disclaimer on and it'll all be good won't it?
I personally know f*ck all about my LPG system, I find out a lot from reading threads. Like the V8 vs Turbo thread. Just lapping up the info..
I'd love to see some more LPG discussion..
How stupid would you be to touch a gas tank? Like come on.
Be a great thread to show to how to reco a mixer yourself, What to look for in broken diaphrams, How to fit Gas Research throttle body setups an remove the intake pipe mixer.
Information on best modifications for gas cars. And general tips, Why wont my car idle on gas etc..........
No Making your gas tank "fully sick" as one of you said.
A proper thread, not a stupid immature one.

ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
I agree, a gas section would be ideal. I would rather someone was shown correctly & safely how to modify the gas system than to go in blindly & risk damage or injury.
I personally don' think there is enough demand for this type of thing to warrant an entire section. At best, I could see it as a sticky thread.
I think it would be a good idea actually and would probably get as much if not more traffic as the Air Conditioning section does at the moment. Have had a couple of LPG cars and knew little or nothing about the goings on of the systems when I had them. Many people buy 2nd hand cars on LPG and don't have much idea of how to keep them maintained let alone the tricks and behaviors of the systems.
I still see too many dangers. Who will write the articles on gas cylinders and mixers? Anyone here a qualified LPG tech?
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
Why not people disussing? I know I've learnt a hell of a lot from the V8 vs Turbo thread, even though no-one's a qualified turbo person..
Anyway, what's the worst that can happen?

12voltking, Why are you damn negative. If you read what i wrote. How am i saying modify the gas tank......
I'm not.
Don't make me quote myself here...
But it'd a damn good section to throw tips an information in there, as this is my first gas car, my fathers had 4 duel fuel cars. I know 2 gas mechs/fitters, An i know of one on this forum......
I have learn a shit load about my gas system in the last 2 and a half years of owning it.
12voltking, Would you be stupid enough to screw with gas lines.... I hope not... Because if you are... Sorry to say mate, but you'd be damn right stupid an hopefully not dead.
If you guys let a "Shout Out" section of mindless bullshit get a chance, why not one that can have helpful information.
Cheers

There's a lot of room to go wrong with cars. People could die from getting under a car supported by their tyre jack, whilst attempting an oil change they read abot on JC..
Or drenched themselves in petrol and went blind from a "Fuel filter changing guide" they found on JC..
Or had a nut go through their brain by trying to change their front springs..
There's a lot of shit that can go wrong with cars. Gas or no gas, idiots will exist. I'm sure this site has millions of potential ways to kill yourself..
One more isn't going to do much harm..
BTW, if people die from attempting stupid shit on their gas system, it's just natural selection and more oxygen for the rest of us..
How is that a bad thing? (other then not having someone to make everyone else feel better abot themselves)
