Just wondering, what decides how many poinst i give/take according to rep? Membership date? Posts made? Rep received? Would be good to have an understand ing of it if possible.

ok, the official word
for every 365 day's a user is a member, they gain 1 rep point of altering power.
for every 100 post's a user makes they get 1 point of rep altering power
the minimum post count before your rep comments actualy count is 20
you need a minimum of 10 rep points before you can actualy start leaving altering rep points.

basicaly, a example ill use me
a)-been a member for 3 yrs 3 rep points
have made 1062 post's, there is 106 points
have had reps left for me. (depending on person rep power) is the remainer

so, 3+106+ what ever is left, gives me a rep of 257.

minux has a reputation point count of 213, and a rep power of 4. his rep power will differ from mine and darrens, and the mods, as we are a defult of 10

points for the post count, 17 points
points left for him with all current reps 196

total is 17+196= 213. that is his current rep as of this time tonight
