I'll add a touch more info in here.

To access your mail account directly go to
    http://mail.justcommodores.com:2095

or follow pimps instructions. It doesn't matter which way as they both do the same.

A prompt will appear with a user name password.

Your user name is your full email address ie username@justcommodores.com

Your password is whatever you chose.

    Click OK

Select the application you wish to use, I prefer Horde but feel free to try them all and use whatever one you prefer.

If you use Horde simply click the login button and you should then have your email located right before your eyes.

I think the current sign-up process might scare a few members off. Generally, you'd just go to "Register" and fill out the form and when you submit it, depending on your e-mail address, you get "The Administrator has banned your e-mail address". And it says Yahoo, Hotmail, Bigpond etc. not accepted. I know this is to prevent fake e-mails in sign-ups but I know of a better, less confusing process to fix it... how about you allow any e-mail address. But, after you submit the form, the message that comes up should say, "You're activation code has been sent to the e-mail address specified. You not only need this code to post in the forum, but you need it to even just to read the forum. If you have entered a fake e-mail address, you will never get this code so you will have fill the registration form again using a proper e-mail address. If you entered a proper e-mail address, then you're submission code will been sent to your inbox (usually instantly). Check your e-mails, click on the appropriate link and enjoy being part of Just Commodores.".

This cant be a message that appears for just a couple of seconds (because no-one can read that in a couple of seconds), you'll have to click on a continue button which will take you to the main page.

    What do you think?

Errrm...this has nothing to do with signing in to the forums, it's about accessing webmail on the site...

The banning of some addresses is not neccessarily just to stop fake e-mail sign-ins, it's also to stop people who get banned from the site for one reason or another then start another (or more) accounts by just using a newly made hotmail, yahoo etc email address...

Gobbles - when that box comes up asking for your password, check your username as well. For some reason, it will accept your username as
    username@justcommodores.com or
    username
and it seems to change when it feels like...My one will come up now and then although I haven't changed anything...

I have considered and will more than likely change the registration settings in the near future but to what I am not entirely sure. The current email address ban will stay put but I do like the idea of allowing read-only access to the forum until the account has been activated.

Didn't we have read-access to the forum before on the old website?
