ok so..
What was the first thread on JC?? (do we have a copy)
Is garth the mother of this Child?? (did he start JC)
Why?? (above question)
Why does garth drive a astra and not a comm?? (heard rumours of a beast)
Is there like a JC banner or something for like summernat etc etc??
If so why have i never seen it??
If not why not??
and last but not least.. what does the future hold for JC forum?? (upgrades, prizes, joining fee to help the site)
Reason i ask is that i spend a little bit of time in here and its great but im sure im not the only one who would like some history on the site and what the future holds. So they can maybe understands things better ie. garths beast??
Over all this is the best source of info on the net about my car because of the vast knowledge base and if theres anything i / we / us can do to support this great site im sure most would be willing.
Cheers.

LOL @ Barina! nah, it's cool
Quick question on my behalf.. Being a human and all it's safe to assume Darren has a job, and is busy like the rest of us.. but is there a particular reason he doesn't post HALF the amount that some of us other regulars post?
Not stabbing.. merely asking.
he has a life perhaps?![]()
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
I guess its prop got to do with the fact that Darren sits infront of a computer the whole day at work, I know the last thing I would want to be doing when I got homeOriginally Posted by tr3nt

somewhere topics 1 and 2 have died. so while 3 isnt a 'true' first topic it is the oldest as such.
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
Some very good questions which I think most have been already replied to.
Yes, it did start off as a hobby, back then I was unemployed and couldn't be bothered finding work, it was random faults I had come across and still to this day I'm grateful to Neil from the Unofficial Holden Archive for his use of the common faults section which really started it all on my Bigpond user web space.
Back in the days I wanted to learn more about the humble Commodore as I knew nothing and like a lot of people if something went wrong I would take it a mechanic and get shafted in my case.
The real amusing part is people automatically assume I know it all as I started the site, believe me that couldn't be further from the truth with a lot of what I read in here going well above my head hence why I don't post a huge amount (I just soak it all up). The other side is as Dave said I sit at a computer most days from 6am so you could imagine I only want to do something a little different when I get home.
From here on it's grow out of control from once being the smallest Commodore forum in existence to the largest with the help of everyone here today.
I don't know the direction of where we are heading for the future but we will certainly be around for many years to come and happy to take suggestions onboard. The worst part about working full time is you only have soo much time on your hands after hours.
As some of you know we recently purchased our very own server, the plan is another one in the near future as it won't be long before we outgrow the current server at the rate of knots we are going. A new look was on the horizon if we can find a web designer at a reasonable rate which is happy to deal with it.
I've got no idea what happened to the first couple of threads, more than likely test one's I would thinking.
Any other questions by all means fire away, I'm happy to spill the beans![]()
Darren you still got the old site on your home server? Should show everyone out humble beginings
Yeah we really need to get on to someone about a new look...............tyson gone by by?

lol yeh I've still got it for personal reasons, surely no one wants to see a poorly designed site I made in frontpage
Well Tyson would be my first choice but I got sick and tired of asking him time after time (months apart) to see whether he has come up with something. Sure people are busy and what not but near enough to 12 months down the track, I think not.
Uhm.. Yes we do! lol..Originally Posted by Darren

haven't been here for verylong, but i'm always interested in the classic things in lifeVN included
