Signatures

So after about 4 weeks of having my signature, i am no longer allowed to have it, it is deemed inappropriate. I suppose kids on this website have never seen such language, seeing as it was left by a kid.

I fail to see the inappropriatness of it. Is this site really succumbing to be parental for 5 year olds?

It is blanked out, it was left on my reputation. I fail to see the problem.
Can it please be explained what makes it so bad that a mod has called a meeting regarding my signature?

After a quick chat with other admin/mods we have found your signature to be inappropriate for this site. If you would please change it to something a bit more suitable that would be much appreciated.

Sorry but i find it suitable, i see topics that are alot worse then my signature.

This is a car site, If you know about cars or want to learn about cars or own a car, You should be mature enough to know such language, as you use it frequently while working on cars...

I got the same message about my signature. This isn't a kids PG13 forum.. 99% of members are adults and those that aren't are usually mature enough to drive..

Very few members are kids..

I seriously don't think my sig is that bad either.. Just a little chuckle..

it has come to the attention of members here, and the admin team, that quite a few of the signatures do contain swear words, and some are pushing the line of abusive. so we figured it would be a good idea to remove the signatures to keep everyone on a even playing field

if neg rep has been left i do ask members to contact me via pm please so i can remove the rep given because of signatures.

of course my sig was abusive, it was left by a prepubescant teen on the verge of coming out. I only pasted what was said, i cant do anymore than that

I agree with Shaggerz. IMHO saying you would shoot someone if you saw them is pretty unacceptable in the first place. No-one deserves to take that kind of abuse, whatever they may have said!

The problem lies with the individual who originally wrote the comments, not Minux or Shounak. I take offence that someone wrote the purile comments.

Was this immature fool dealt with in any way?

Why are the sigs unsuitable if the moron has had no feedback from the admin/mods? Maybe he or she has, I don't know but I would like to see mention of it. By that I mean a warning to all members about inappropriate comments throughout the forum.

The sigs are fine by me and I had good laugh at the infantile member who left them. The only change I would make would be to include the members name for all to see.
But that's just my opinion.

We do have the option to see them or not don't we? Under Options in your user CP?! I'm positive i saw the option to "show signatures" somewhere....
