Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd give you a quick heads up, I suspect there is problems with the mail server on our host.
The error message I have been receiving on providers I know work exist are as follows:
I have tried restarting the mail server to no avail so we'll have to wait for the admins to have a look at it.This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 48 hours on the queue on blue.deepbluehosting.com.
The message identifier is: A string of numbers
The subject of the message is: Subject of message goes here
The date of the message is: Time and date goes here
The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:
emailaddressgoes@here.com
Delay reason: host lookup did not complete
No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.
Any new member which signed on around Friday, Saturday or Sunday would have more than likely not have received their registration email due to this particular problem.
Should you wish to have your account manually please drop either Garth or myself an email and we'll fix up your account in no time flat.
Sorry about the inconvenience guys, I should have realised this much earlier than what it has been.
Cheers
Darren
so...does this mean that if we sent any e-mails in the last couple of days, they weren't sent as well?

Unfortunately I am not 100% sure, I have a feeling this begun happening on Friday so anything from that point forward will not have been sent but willl remain on the server until they can be sent.
I've made a temporary fix which should do the trick until the host can rectify the DNS issue.
That's all good...I sent it on Saturday and was told it wasn't received..so resend it is![]()

From past experiences everything in kept in a queue so when things come back up and running correctly there should be a gush of emails heading out.
FYI, I have implemented a temporary fix for the mail server, might I add there was 476 mail messages in the queue which gushed out as soon as I implemented it. Despite a few brief delays whilst all the message cleared from the queue everything should be back to normal very shortly.
Sorry again about this guys.
Cheers
Darren
