Ghost posts

in some threads i scroll down and read and people have quoted other users and i read the quote and think, "i dont remember seeing that post" so i scroll back up to find i was right, it wasnt there...it sosnt look like the type of post that would have been deleted and i dont have anyone on my ignore list so whats going on?? am i insane?

i have noticed something similar a couple of days ago i was on here had about 696 posts came on 2 hours later and i only had 690?? i think it may be the mods deleting old threads to save space but im not sure.

hmm i havnt had that problem, except when they first stopped the post count in the pub etc, i thought i was going nuts lol, people still ask why their posts arnt going up now

Theres a few deleted posts on the second page. A couple are obvious, i.e. insulting post and also one that quotes a deleted post, and one other I am not sure about... might have been an accidental deletion.

Ahh dammit... just realised I was looking at the wrong thread... I didnt even know there was an ask the copper II thread lol. We had closure up to that point!

I can't see any deleted posts in that thread... give me post numbers of the ones that clue you in and I'll have a look if you want.

Ahh I see what you mean. I recognise those quotes from the other ask the copper thread. I think what has happened is that mods have split the thread and moved all modification related posts into the ask the copper II thread to tidy things up a bit and make it easier to find the answer to your question, which is why some quote posts from the old thread.

We don't delete posts to save space. They are deleted when they are; off topic, bad language, insulting other members, etc

Yes I split the original thread and transferred a whole heap of posts to the other thread. One is in regards to traffic laws the otherr is in regards to modification laws.

Also, within the first 4 pages of the original thread there was a lot abuse going on.....that got deleted.
