peoples sigs

basicaly us here at justcommodores didnt become teh size we are today by linking to other forums in our sig's, or by posting our forum or links to our forum in other forums. so i made a decision.

as of now, the only links alowed in peoples sigs will be to a car domain website, where they hold pic's of their cars. or where ever people hole pic's of thier cars. links to the sponsers are ok, and internal links for teh forum, i.e. to a melbourne cruise for example are ok

links to any other forum, be it car related, non car related, or even related to emus is pretty much over.

ill give everyone a 1 week grace period, but basicaly by this time next monday they are to be gone. this includes clubs in the non jc club event sections, they are over now. hcc in adelaide are alowd to link on the forum, that is it.

if you dont remove yoru sig, i will remove it for you, and you wont be able to use sigs again

if you have a pic of your car in say your site juzza, and you link it here, that is cool
but the pic you have now, with a pic of a holden with your forum name on it, isnt alowed. that is a example


if you have a seperate cruise club, that isnt alowed
if you have a link to say dolly magazine that isnt alowed.
im sick of unpaid promotions. you wanna promote something, you ask us.
and a bill will be forwared to you

ok, coolies, after some very quick thought, and realizing that the post was made when i should have been sleeping (aren't night shifts so much fun) ill be re-wording the above post and changing the guidelines to suit. pretty much i dont wanna see links to other clubs or other car sites.

I agree, this needs to be an annoucement, Im thinking it wont get seen, people will lose their sigs, & you will have 10 threads started on 'why have I lost my sig?'

As for ebay, are the funny crappy ebay auctions still allowed? IE not in sigs in the posts 'omg look at what is being sold now' style of posts.
I understand no ebay selling links IE people linking to their own auctions in their sigs. But I like the stupid funny ebay crap

now this question is serious, what if someone had a link on there sig which was considared a " bad " site, if they got the other sites admin to agree to trade traffic ( add a link to jc's on there site ) would it be allowed as you would get more users coming from a source not accsible previously, which hopefully these new users buy stuff from sponsers and jc's then can buy that 10 storey office building you guys have had your eye on.

we dont trade traffic. so i think the answer to that question is no.. not that i understand that question.

basicaly, to sum it up, there will be no-more linking to other clubs. and no-more linking to other car forums that are in direct competition with jc. and the usual things, like still no linking to adult material, voilence things like that.
