Firstly thanks for a great site in justcommodores.com.au
Secondly I apoligise for any bad grammer. I am trying to write this fast before I am unable to access to JustCommodores again. (Read below for explination on this comment)
I have been accessing the site fine for the past week and a half on my home internet connection.
That all changed on sunday night the 28th of October.
I was browsing the forums without a problem and all of a sudden they just stopped working.
Could not access them nor ping the site.
I cannot access it using either my main connection here at home or the second one here at home. (I have two internet connections here at home BTW)
Both connections here at home are Comcen 8Mbps connections.
This is the tracert from my main home connection.

But using my girlfriends TPG connection I can browse and ping the site mostly fine. (I say mostly fine as there are issues. Read below)
This is the tracert using the TPG connection. (Ignore the high ping time on the first hop. It is because I dialed into the girlfriends network over the phone line using a dial up modem)

As I said using my Girlfriends TPG connection everything works fine to an extent.
Now just to make this problem even more interestering.
When the site stopped working on my main connection I switched to my second connection here at home.
The site then worked again for another 20 minutes on the second connection then just stopped working.
Since then neither connection can access or ping the site.
And the TPG and Bigpond connections do similar things but not the same.
They will work fine for a short while. 10 - 20 minutes.
Then they stop being able to access the site.
The TPG connection is still able to ping the site but cannot access it.
The Bigpond connection though cannot access the site and cannot even ping it.
After a three or four hours it will come good and I can access the site for another 10-20 minutes.
This happens the same way each time.
The way its acting it is almost as if after using the site for a while it just stops responding to my IP address for a while.
But if I disconnect and reconnect on the Bigpond mobile broadband connection (And as a result get a new IP) it doesnt come good.
I still have to wait a few hours.
I have rebooted and replaced routers. Tried different computers. And three different ADSL connections. I have tried all sorts of things and I have confirmed as well as I can the problem is not at my end.
I dont think it is with my ISP either as it is mostly reproducable on three different ISP's.
It must be a problem with Just Commodores provider somwhow.
I have sent an email off to my ISP to see what they can do from their end. But as I said I am thinking this is more a problem at justcommodores.com.au end.
If the site admins have any idea and can look into it it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks muchly

vk2amv,
I am Dale Evans, Manager of Hightek Hosting.
We are the provider for Just Commodores hosting and dedicated server.
In order for us to work towards a speedy resolution of this issue, can you please email support@################### with your IP address and provider details, as well as your JC username details.
Our technical administration team will investigate this issue further and get back to you.
It is a funny issue you are having as we have had no other reports from JC members of this issue...but there is always a first!
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
Dale Evans
Manager
Ok I will send an email off later today.
Have to go to work right now.
But as soon as I get home I will send an email off.
Thanks
vk2amv
I had the same problem, at the same times but it seems to be working fine now. my isp is Internode
I too am continually having issues (i.e. a few minutes ago) loading the site sometimes, is happening in the early hours of the morning alot too.
I also have an issue with the main page Just Commodores - For All Your Holden Commodore Needs where it doesn't fully load and the screen is blank, but I hit the Stop button and it shows itself?
This is not just me though, the site stopped working the other night when i was showing some people an attachment on JC. Greenfoam, Hakhawk and 2 guys on my msn couldn't view it or JC either, but 20 minutes later it was fine.
also been having same/similar problems, like 10mins ago for example.
site works fine then out of the blue cant find server. then wait 10mins then all good again.
but this time the index would load but couldnt access the sections, waited a few mins then then couldnt access index either. then 10mins later all is good again. these problems happen probably every second day or so for me.
btw, my isp is bigpond (sad but true)
my errors have mainly been "server took too long to respond" timeout errors. I did a ping with no response and tracert gets to about 10 hops before it starts timing out
I get that sometimes but its been fine lately only just slow loading when I first get on.
Dear JC members,
We are aware of a minor software issue with the sponsors/ad system which is causing a high load on the server.
The JC admin team together with the Hightek Hosting Technical Support team are working together to seek a resolution in the best possible timeframe.
We apologise in advance for the issues at hand.
Please note: These issues do not cause members such as vk2amv's. We are still investigating his issues.
Regards,
Dale Evans
Manager
Just for your information I have reverted to a previous version of the software we are using for sponsor banners, only time will tell whether this will improve things but I'm trying to stay positive as it's driving me completely nuts as I'm sure it is you guys.
Early hours of the morning I can only put down to backups taking place, unfortunately I don't see this changing as we all know what happens when backups don't happen. When this is taking place I would expect pages to just hang, it may bring up the header but that's about it.
