    All sorted, thanks for that.

The sponsors page is work in progress, I should hopefully get a chance this weekend or before hopefully to get that sorted.

Generally speaking I'll wait for people to contact us first rather than going out and seeking sponsorship.

This is my opinion, I don't like door to door sales people coming to my door and I consider an email to a specific company rude no different so I don't do it.

As for the most recent list of companies none of them have been contacted.

NVU, Dave summed up my thoughts on them.

Most of the sponsors who we have actively seeked have been ones we have had dealings with beforehand, such as YT. Darren summed it up basically, we are not going to drum up a generic email to spam to every automotive based company in Aus.

well alot of people don't even know who we are so how can they actively seek us?

Is there any reason why you have a bad attitude towards someone asking a simple question?

Well that leaves all the rest that do know. We are the largest commodore based forum, plenty of people know the site.
I have a bad attitude when people come on carrying on about stuff they need not worry. I also have a bad attitude when said member couldn't give two ****s about the site so I question the motive of the simple question.
Finally I see the muppet gang is going strong, im sure impulse is quick capable of looking after himself.

I thought impulse simply asked a question that might be of interest to not only him but other members. I know we don't (well some do) pay to use this site, and I'm very grateful of the site, but it is the members that actually make this site what it is!

Giving the members an insight into how the site works might make us more interested/motivated into help making JC even bigger

    well put Thomas,
it was a simple question posted into the site feeback section so that he could find out if you think that we are a muppet gang and don't care well you are entitled to your opinion and i won't argue with that each to his own.

just to go a little off topic, i've noted that depending on which sponcors banner is at the top of the page the page width seems to change, seeing as i'm still using a standard 17" screen it means that i can't always read an entire line on a page without using the bottom scroll bar to center the page first

I wouldn't personally sponsor on LS1, although I did look at it.

If I can make put my views forward (as both a sponsor, and a stock commodore owner), and without knowing what future plans the admin and mods have for JC, I'd say where it is at the moment, provided all sponsors are paying, shouldn't be made bigger.

JC is BY FAR the most expensive forum I advertise on ( of 7 or 8 at last count), but I feel its worth it, as its not overly commercialized (like LS1), and gives what I feel is good value for money.

JC is the only high dollar sponsor forum (ie. LS1, Skylines Australia etc.) that I feel actually delivery value for money, and as a relatively small business, I don't have stupids amounts of money to waste on useless advertising, and wouldn't consider LS1 for that reason.

As Darren can vouch for, my dollars are always paid within a day or 2 of each month invoice, and always without hesitation. Although I'm continually re-evaluating each forum, and its return, I can for for the short term at least see me sticking around here.

If however, it become anywhere near the number of 'sponsors' as LS1, I would very quickly withdraw my support. That said, I would still wish Darren and his crew all the best, and continue to contribute where I can, but it just wouldn't suit me anymore.

    Cheers,
    Greg
