screen location of the sponsor's forums

Hey Guys.

I guess I'm probably the only one who gets this, but with the current layout (with the Sponsor's forums being at the top of the list) combined with the fact that ASR Audio & Electronics is the first in this category, what I often end up with is threads in the ASR sponsor's forum which are not related to what I do - more like general electrical and car audio questions. (obviously some users don't or can't read the forum titles and just focus on "Audio and Electronics" and post madly in there - probably getting ****ed off that no-one is replying!)

Some of the guys have been great here, and point these blokes in the right direction. I'm wondering if we could revert to the OLD layout (where the sponsor's forums were down lower), then maybe this could be reduced, if not eliminated. As it is I get a stack of people sending PMs and emails asking questions which are already answered between the FAQ threads here and on my website, but they still ask the same questions - and I do my best to answer them without saying "READ THE BLOODY FAQs!!!", but at least the majority of these are pertinent to what I do. These unrelated threads in the sponsor's forum just mean I either ignore them, or have to point them in the right direction.

Thoughts anyone? It's not a massive thing, of course - just a convenience issue for both myself AND the thread posters.

The move was mostly done for the benefit of the sponsors, more exposure.

But i've definitely noticed this. Its happening in several sponsor forums because some people are either just plain lazy or plain ignorant.

I have noticed few of these threads are moved by moderators, I have reported a few early on but gave up after a while. As sponsors have moderator powers, I assume the general site moderators aren't really scrutinizing those particular sections.

Hmmmm - maybe I need to look into this. I'm not able to do anything at all with threads I haven't created myself, other than reply. (that's why there's a thread in there with a footnote from me asking a mod to close the thread - and yes, I am referring only to the ASR forum)
