However, if you go there it displays alien8's profile instead of mine! I'm not 34 LOL, i'm 19, so that's definatly not me
I must say thanks to LightningVP for pointing this out![]()

Too late now, but every other board i've been on has handled it fine. vBulletin, IPB, phpBB, and a few other ones i can't remember the names of. Just this forum doesn't like it :S
Symbols do seem to cause it.
Try looking up '.' (used to be 12voltking). Same sorta issue.

Maybe just a bit of a bug?
the alien issue looks like it's doing a search using a % at the end of the nickname, and taking 'lucky pick' from the results which would usually return the oldest record (alien8 being 2005 works with that theory). the weird thing is that it doesn't use the wildcard % when checking if the user exists, that function works perfectly. it's only when it comes to displaying the user that it messes up.
with your character at the end of alien, i guess the system can't parse it for some reason so it's being treated as if it doesn't exist.
