My Ride Section

I know this has been brought up before but...

Is it all possible to allow posts to be edited in the My Ride section only. Under current restrictions modifications cannot be made after 30 days I believe.

I, and im sure others, modify their original posts on a regular basis. When a thread is over 40 pages long it tends to be easier to keep the first page up to date so new viewers do not have to sift through 40 pages of crap.

I am aware that we can PM a mod to make the changes, but I don't want to be bothering somebody that often.

Also would be good to have total control over your own "my ride" thread so when it does get 40 or so pages long we can delete illrelevant posts ourselves instead of hastling mods.

I'm not sure if you can change the edit rules for just 1 section. I could be wrong though.

unfortunatly there isnt a easy solution to this, no it's as easy as ticking a box for this one

it can be made that a user group can edit their own posts within a set timeframe, but that is everyone. in all sections.
i.e. if we gave users the permision to edit their own posts they can edit their own threads/posts in all sections of the forum.


as anoying as it is, for now untill a solution can be found, you will have to keep pm'ing mods to get threads cleaned up.

a quick check of the v-bulliten website did give a few solutions, all require editing of the templates used for user groups.

will keep looking into a possible solution and see what we can do
