Im wondering why threads keep being moved from the SA Section to general sections? Several members of the SA Section are getting rather annoyed that this keeps happening.

Fair enough for some, but ones that are aimed at the SA section of the forum should be left in that section of the forum.

The one im talking about right now is the "new P plater laws coming in about driving a V8??" thread.

Its about new laws that may or may not be coming for South Australia, so it is not relevant to the rest of the country and yet for some reason it has been moved to the General section?

Is it possible to have this thread moved back to the SA section?

They are a state cruise section, not just for general chit chat. It might be related to a certain state but it can still go in the pub, etc.

It seems the point of the state sections have been lost and never made clear to all. They were only ever intended for cruise details and meetups as per the description at the top of the section:

General talk regarding the South Australian Chapter, Current Cruises, Meetups, Members Details, Cruise suggestions etc

We are looking to introduce a validated SA member section which would over come some of this chit chat and un-related cruise stuff in an out of view area for people who verify their details and identity.

Surely its more efficient also using the state sections for state only related topics.

If people want opinions or information that is relevant to SA only, then you'd think the most logical place for such a thread would be the SA section. Same goes for other states. There is enough crap in other sections of the forum as it is I thought.

What is with people at JC, what other forum allows general chit chat in their cruise threads? What more, what other forum allows cruise mods to control the area even though some of them do not do what they are their to do?

The confusion is probably due to it being titled SA General Section rather than SA Cruise section like you emphatically pointed out.

A Sub forum of this South Australian Chapter
Description: For the South Australian members

The child forum of the above which is titled General SA section has a very CLEAR description which reads:

the south australian section is for the organisation of cruises for south australia, and other stuff.

talk about laws that are a direct issue to south australian members are fine there i reckon, you dont want other peo-ple from other states throwing their 2 cents in thinking they know best.

ofcourse general forum discusion is sweet, but yeah a clear and proper set of guidelines for sections has never been drawn up, each mod seems to have their own little idea of what it's for.

its hard do do what we spose to do when its always wrong according to the full mods.
myself and Dylan have both worked funcking hard in the SA section and the ppl in it love what we do (as we were voted in by the ppl)
we have awesome cruises and giveaways and attract a great bunch of ppl for fun days
out without any trouble ever
also us half mods are on every cruise i haven't seen a full mod on one in 2 yrs+ so i would like to see myself and Dylan turned into full mods so we can help out in our sections and other areas when needed

If you're singling me out then give me a break, after having built this section up for over 12 months before you became a section mod, doesn't mean I have to come out on events to justify my existence. Hardly my fault that just about every single organised JC event clashes with something else. After having written cruises single handedly for some time on here and to still offer help when I took on a role elsewhere I haven't heard boo. Give credit where credit is due, other people moderate this section too and have the SA section as part of their best interests also.

no no no I'm not singling you out I'm singling all SA mods out not one have come out in last 2 yrs
like i said ages ago we would love you to help out with cruises and sheets and your experiences but yes it seems to be your unavailable on the cruises and with your time elsewhere makes it hard too this is why I'm asking what we ask
i would love to see all mods come out on the cruises and have a chat and join in what their run
seems ppl (not you Adam) seem to want to run it but not have anything to do with the cruises
if you have a look in the general SA section you'll see the way SA works is 90% of chat has nothing to do with cruises meetups or stuff and its been like that for yrs so moving posts that aren't cruise related would mean 90% posts be moved then you would kill SA off

Not once have I said my time elsewhere was an issue, it seems planning of dates is one thing that could be done alot better.

How many other SA mods do you think there are btw?

not that i saw them do much for the ppl anyways

Darren is the only other mod/admin in SA, Brad was the only other one and his time as a mod came to an end for various reasons......

i would support daron and dylan, they have done a good job! i haven't missed a JC cruise in 3 years. adam, daron isn't trying to be nasty, just the fact that since they took over the minor sa mod roles, you haven't appeared at a single cruise since, but u do manage to go to the other clubs things, i have made appearances at the start of the other one to chit chat with a few people, so not like i haven't seen. it would appear more that you are disgruntled that you don't have a major role in the jc sa cruise decisions, if i have made assumptions that are wrong i apologize.

Communication is the key..... was never really consulted when other mods were brought on board so from my perspective it would seem I was pushed out of the way if you know what I mean. Everyone is entitled to make assumptions.
When I was still writing cruises on here the first thing I always checked was what was on for a number of other forums on any given weekend. I have since given up apologising for not being able to attend as it seemed pointless and not worth the effort.

There is no written rule saying you must attend every event listed, and that shouldn't be assumed I would hope. Hell even with HCC i have had to miss events due to being overseas/interstate for various reasons.
