Removing SS sticker

hey everyone i just bought new ss badges for my VT, on mine there is a sticker ss badge and i want to get rid of it but over the top of one side it has a lacquer over it i was wondering how i could remove it?? i went to a spray shop they told me there is no way around it?? unless remove the paint for the entire door and get it painted again?

If the sticker has had clear over it then yeah there's no way of removing it without stripping the door. You could try taking the clear off the door (sand until you just hit colour) and then repraying clear over it. What colour is it? Would probaly look wrong if it's metallic cos sanding it would possibly flatten it out
