    Default Dinted tailgate

So I managed to dint my tailgate the other week an I got a quote on it yesterday.
The damage is to the tailgate only, no sideskirt didn't warp the hardlid an the taillight is fine an in its normal position so its purely the tailgate.
The bloke has quoted me a 'estimate' of $1,300 is this guy for real? I was expecting 600 - 800 for a tailgate an paint?
    What would you guys expect?
I feel like this guy is been a rip or am I just been unrealistic?

Its a ute, its a MUST to have a dent in the tailgate.
If I had a ute without a dent in the tailgate I would expecting to pay the above amounts to have a dent inserted.

Just get one from the wreckers, and paint it? or get a new one and paint it. most shops charge $300 a panel (in my area) and for a newie their $300 + postage so $700 max

    Would be far cheaper!

I'm just worried about the fit an if it does look identical to a Holden tailgate
