my mate's paint has been split and it has lifted a little bit, all the paint is still there, is there a way to recover it?

depending on what type of paint/finish, the panel will need respraying.

i mean its it the smallest bits probably the length 5 cm long and only 1 crack.

nope, cant be fixed without repainting the panel. speaking of which, if he's worried about it tell him to get it repainted before the metal starts oxidising. (rusting)

i didnt understand what you just said about what panel its on, but the hole panel will need to be resprayed, and youl have to blend if its not in the middle and the colour is metalic. even if it is in the middle of the panel, and the colours metalic it wont look 100%
