So I've spent the past month prepping my VY for a two tone paint flake respray, but I'm not sure what to do to divide the two colours. I'm dividing from just below the windows where there's the crease that runs down the length of the car. I know some people just do a full coat of clear on the top so it's all even, or paint a different colour as a pinstripe, just wondering if there's any other ways people know of? I've spent a hell of a lot of time so it turns out right and don't want to ruin it. I'm doing black on the bottom and silver for the top. I've just used black 2 pack for the bottom half and grey primer for the top half. It's all been smoothed and done at 2000 grit.
the best way is to base up one colour, say the bottom for example, give it about half an hour after the final coat, mask out your bottom then base up your top half and then remove the paper/plastic from the bottom, then just clear the whole car. Best (and i thought the only) way to do it.
