Vp roof fading

My 93 VP executives roof is fading and when u rub it, it's like a fine sand comes off. What's this?
Does anyone have a contact for a good, reasonably priced body/paint shop in brisbane?

VN's & VP's have notoriously crap paint from factory. It's time for a respray dude.

Hi mate,
Yeah its mainly caused from the weather (strong sun)
and its quite common on the upper panels (roof, bonnet boot lids etc')
a lot of commodores get that on the upper corners of the guards and doors.

I got the same problem, I don't want to get a full respray though if possible. I only need roof, bonnet and boot. Anyone have an idea of the cost for the original colour just in those sections?
