hey guys i recently done a full hidden wiring job and fusebox relocation to my VN.
just wondering what the best way to go is about the two wiring harness holes in the firewall. i want to plug them but just dont know how (without going sheet metal) is there any other way around it I.E custom size grommets or something.
and also i want to fix the two ugly holes the old fusebox bracket left in my engine bay. how do i go about this to prep it for a spray ?
im guessing you don't want to weld up the holes either, if not then some rubber grommets are the go- you should be able to find them pretty easy
as for the fuse box bracket some one on here with more experience will be able to tell you
Damn thats a good looking VN bay
As Shooter said.. Grommets are your best friend..
any ideas where i can get grommets that size though? 60mm they need to be
Clark rubber will have grommets that size.
that engine bay looks mad give the tags a metal polish it brings them up like chrome.
Grommets from Bunnings and Autobarn mate, the latter doesn't have as bigger range though.

sweet cheers guys. ill pop down and have a look at what they got.
yeah it looks pretty decent when all the metal is polished up. hopefully i can get to detailing it soon. just need to keep my dirty hands off it for a while i think :P
ok so we welded up the holes from the fuse box today. still cant seem to find any 60mm grommets :/ where can i get heat shield or dynamat from ?
I've seen metal heatshield like people use around turbos etc at Autobarn. For dynamat, car audio shops will probably be the cheapest.

were did u hide all the wires and fuse box and thats a nice engine bay wanna help me do that to mine haha
fuse box went behind the dash. it sits in some brackets we made up behind the glove box. the glove box had to be trimmed a bit
it looks good rather than having random wires and a coil pack there its just clean
