Cant wait to see these fitted up to the White VE they're from
Hope you didn't pay for that job .. The quality looks terrible.
Bit of orange peel but its not that bad!!
terrible work on those wheels!!!
i would never let them leave the shop to a customer
For those who have looked into the picture.
The wheels were yet to be detailed. Probably shouldnt have posted a picture until they were fitted. I will post a better quality picture of the finish soon.
They were not detailed prior to fitting just incase they needed to be touched up for any reason.
There is no peel left in them and they have been sealed to strengthen the paint against stone chipping and brake dust eating away at the paint.
The only reason to detail painted wheels would be large bits of dirt. But if done properly there wouldn't be too many.
Off the gun should be fine, providing they know what they are doing
Man this forum has some serious buzzkill's.
And jonnoo if you're trying to flame the guy at-least use spell check..

An 'uncontrolled environment' would mean outside of a booth and bits of dirt happen in every job regardless of where it's painted it's just part of the process these were painted in a booth like all my work as for orange peel it's easier to spray 3 coats 'roughly' and sand back and polish rims rather than hit them hard to try and get a flat finish and have runs everywhere there are tight spaces that you need to worry about
'knowing what your doing with a gun' still doesn't let you control what's in the air 100% of the time you can blow off prepsol and tack rag while in a booth and still get particles or even silicone it's more knowing how to fix the issues that arise hense the detail.
I guess i should've used the sarcasm font when i asked that question.
I know what he ment by "uncontrolled environment" but my point is i'm sick and tired of people saying you HAVE to paint in a booth to get a good job.
I'm here to tell you all IT'S BOLLOCKS. I don't have a booth and i can get 'off the gun' jobs done easily.

Alright princess, calm down. At what point in THIS thread has anyone mentioned that you "HAVE" to use a booth?
You appear to do a good job, can't see close up, but seems great from the pics, especially the ute & BMW. The uncontrolled enviro comment was in regards to (what appears to be) some areas on the wheel where looks like something has been sprayed over, could just be pitting.
Anyway - would love to see the wheels finished and fitted SEC.
"have to" paint in a booth for a great result??? Probably not. Makes life a ton easier however. As for those bitching about him post paint detailing his wheels - meh. You do it your way, let him do it his. Who really cares as long as the end result is something the guy is pleased with.
