Hi all at the moment ive got vs commodore
-http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vr-vs/161693-vs-acclaim-ii.html
Ive got a nice dent on the side and the corner of my back bumper has a big crack from someone who hit it and
drove off in car park.. !
I want to re-spray to this colour
If anyone actually does work themselves, i live in W.A in Southern Perth Region "Leeming"
See if someone wants business, i may sand and bog it up myself, however that will take a while working full time dont have much spare.
Cheers
mate if it's just a dent best to just get that repaired.
there is much more than you think involved in changing the colour of a car, for starters completely stripping the car of all panels rubbers and anything that gets in the way of door jams and and little concealed areas that have to be painted... list goes on.
secondly alot of painters dont like to have someone else do the prep work like body filling and sanding because then the painter can't guarantee that the final product will be top quality. and when you get some little area's that dont look any good the painter will get the blame and not the bloke who did the prep work.
These are just a few reasons why it is easier to just fix up the panel work and leave the colour. by all means if your keen and have the cash go for your life, i would love to see a vs sedan in that colour, would look great, but it's alot of time and effort to get it to a good finish.
Thats just my input, take it or leave it, not meant to upset any one just their for guidance.
Yeah im aware of the work thats why i'd rather take it to someone then do myself or it would be a longg job months and months
However i had the plan on changing it to that colour for a while now, and since i have a cracked bumper and side doors dented all in from a ######## im thinking about using the opportunity to do it.
Thanks for the feedback i reckon it would look good once all done well on a vs
I got some number plates comming in "BIG TONY"
My miss's got them for me
