Is there a particular type of paint that is used to paint the black rubber windows surrounds? It's for a VS Commodore. Can you paint them or will it peel? Is there a certain preparation process?
well if they can do it white wall tyres they must use a plastic primer that stretches with the rubber
ive been using tyre black
I've given "black wow" a go, come put pretty good and lasted a lot longer than tyreshine/black ever lasted for me.
Not a paint, but a good restorer depending on the condition of the trim I guess. Bit pricey though.
Thanks for the ideas. They all sound good. It's basically to restore the worn rubber around the windows and give it a new shiny black look that looks smooth like when it was new.
Trans fluid brightens them up but it's short term
