I have just brought a car and it has some nice 18" wheels with a machined front and black (paint or powder coat) on the back set part of the spokes
they have quite a bit of the clear peeling and some white worm. I wanted to know if anyone know if I have to go to a wheel specialist or just a paint shop to get them cleared and whats a ruff price I'm in Geelong, Victoria?
Cheers Pat

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
Give it a go yourself mate.. Sand the clear with 800g wet sandpaper then spray on 3 to 4 coats of clear. If you get an enamel clear it should dry with a good gloss and be fairly durable. Supercheap or auto barn should have this I know Holts make one and also VHT.
you could just sand off the old clear, then step down in papers, i.e. 800 - 1000 - 2000 then polish. itll need re-polishing from time to time, but itll look really nice and be very cheap.
Thanks for the help guys I might give it a go on one of them as they are cheap knock offs anyway, can't hurt! Lol
