i have a vz 190 kw and have put extrators and exaust on it and then got a ss induction cold air intake on it and my mechanic has told me it might be worth upgrading my injectors as when i accelerate it sometime takes abit to respond and he seams to think it is getting not enough fuel and too much air .... is it possible this is happening and should i upgrade and if i do will i have to upgrade my fuel pump or should i just get it dyno tuned ,,, before i got the intake it was putting out 199 rwh and haven;t had it dynoed since so i am not sure where to go from here .... and advice would be appreciated ................ phill
Not worth it.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
because the standard injectors would be nowhere near maxed out... you can run a turbo on low boost and it will still be fine, upgrading the injectors on a stock engine with minimal mods is a waste of money and wont make a difference
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
should i get a tune done then to get the injectors to give the motor a better fuel air mix and more power
next step would be a full tune for example a vcm tune, i have heard the vz sv6 has torque management ect so in the tune they will turn it off and really get some power out of the engine, the gearbox is still a touchy subject with tuners i think but the tune is about 1000 $ when i got quoted
or you could supercharge it ?
My brothers old VZ SV6 took a second or two to respond as well, I think it was because of the electric throttle body.

Now with my very own Tech2....YAY.

i love mechanics they recomend injectors to be done on near stock engines i think they have been playing car racing games to much
iv got a 05 sv6 manual.
ss inductions growler, x force headers, ceramic racing cats n dual 2.5inch exhaust.
mines got the boggy/flat spot on lower revs where it takes a second to pick up n go too.
i asked my mechanic about it and im doing two things about it.
1. new spark plugs and coil packs
2. getting a full tune.
then it'll be working beautifully
