HI, the last couple times i have driven my commodore it starts up fine but after i drive it for short amount of time i turn it off and try start it again, it starts depending on how long i have driven it but when push down the throttle it stalls! the air intake taco goes right down and the car stalls. I had a problem recently with the thermo fan and put another relay in and it seemed to be working but i think this has something do with it cause its seems to be running really hot even after a short 15 minute drive or even less?
please help ?
sounds like it could be a fuel pump issue, have u checked fuel pressure ? check basics first, fuel and spark. then u can isolate the problem.
v6 ye?

its def something to do with fuel cause its trying to kick over, i was thinking more like crank angle sensor but will def try cheapest first ! The only reason i think its crank angle sensor is because the engine light came on ? and was driving fine until i turned the car off! thanks heaps tho will def give ur advice a go![]()
thanks mate it was the fuel pump![]()
Hi People, Thanks to you all fixed my fuel pump problem. Now the front end needs work. Got two new tyres fitted and balanced yesterday on my VR. Grange Tyrepower people said, were they to do a front wheel alignment, they would be ripping me off the +$50 because the front end needs work. Z-Bar Bushes, Wheel Bearings R/F, Rack Ends L/R. Further, went around corner to local mechanic to price this work. $726, half a days work, prior days notice. Think I have recieved good service but the $$$ are scary as I think I just lost my job such as it was or is. May have some time on my hands. Will be ordering a gregorys' tomorrow as was sugested when was replacing in tank fuel pump. Will it cover this work, and on a 1-10 scale, what technical diffulculty is it. Can it be done with car stands and spanners ? Is there some of it I could do to reduce the $$$ outlay. Thanks
bushes arnt too hard mate, u dont even need a book lol, although highly recommended if u never done it before. i think u could do it for less than half the price urself! give it a go! 5 for hardness more dirty than anything. wheel alignment has to be done professionaly though.

agree with onboost its not hard to do your rubbers etc make sure you have a nice clean area (at the start cos its gunna get messy), If you arnt to familiar with auto shit then i highly recomend you get the workshop manual cos it will come in handy not just for this job but others you may want to take on, and things are going to get messy but thats half the fun.
you will want to do all if not majority of the rubbers cos when one goes it puts pressure on the others and they all get worn so if they are all bad then you will want to do them all at the same time.
